fromwhotheworkwascopied.

Rememberthatleavingtheclassroomduringclasstimeisaprivilege.
Wheneverpossible,pleasewaituntilafterlessons,classdiscussions,or
notetaking.Privilegeswillberevokedforthosewhoabusethem.
ElectronicdevicesareNOTpermittedintheclassroom.Notethatthese
devicesmaybeconfiscatedandturnedovertoadministration.
FoodofanykindisNOTpermittedintheclassroom,includinggum,junk
food,andpop.Waterisallowed(reusablewaterbottlesarepreferred).
Clothingshouldberespectful.Rememberthattheclassroomisalearning
environmentandnotasocialone.Studentsshouldrespecttheschool
dresscode.
LatePolicy:
Completeallassignmentsontime.Takeprideinyourworkandfinishall
assignmentstothebestofyourability.Leavenoquestionunanswered.Itis
alwaysbettertohandinsomethingofqualityratherthanalastminuteeffort
and/ornothingatall,soplanaccordingly.Latemarkswillbededucteddailyata
rateof10%perdayforoverdueassignments,upuntilthereturnofcorrected
work,atwhichpointlateworkwillnolongerbeaccepted.Allattemptswillbe
madetoprovidestudentswithaonedaywarningthatmaterialwillbereturned
thenextday.
MakeupPolicy:
IfastudentisunsuccessfulonaclassTEST,therearenomakeuptests.
However,thestudentmustsubmittestcorrectionsforEVERYquestionandmay
berequiredtoattendamandatorytutorial.Recordoftestcorrectionswillbekept
andtakenintoconsiderationwhentermmarksarebeingfinalized.
HomeworkPolicy:
Studentsareexpectedtocompletehomeworkonanightlybasis.Homeworkwill
becheckedrandomlythroughouteachterm.Whencompletinghomework,
studentsshouldattemptallquestions.Shouldhomeworktakelongerthan45
minuteswithoutdistraction,studentsshouldceaseworkingandbringanotefrom
hometoexcusetheincompleteness.
AbsencePolicy:
Inthecaseofabsence,studentsmustcontacttheirteacherimmediatelyupon
theirreturntosubmitALLoverdueassignments,reschedulequizzes,tests,
and/orlabsandtoreceivemissedwork.Thisisthestudentsresponsibility,NOT
theteachers.Studentswhoreturnfromanabsencewithoutasignednotefroma
parent/guardianwillreceiveaZEROforanymissedwork.Studentswhowillbe
missingclassforschoolactivitiesareexpectedtocontacttheirteacherBEFORE
theirabsence.NotethatabsencesareNOTanexcuseforhavingmissedcertain
topicsinclass.Studentsareexpectedtolearnallofthematerialcovered.
