INTODUCTION
Bollore group operates in Africa since 1927. In 2008, bollore Africa logistics was established
to consolidate the bollore group infrastructure and logistic activities across the Africa
continent/ bolore Africa logistics is present in 56 countries worldwide, including 46 in Africa.
The company has 250 subsidiaries employing 25000 permanent staff. Our main activities
cover all fields of transport and international logistics.
Bollore has 410 employees in Uganda, including only 8 expatriates. 97% of the staff is
Ugandan. 95% of their suppliers are local companies, many with whom they have good
relationships with their local competitors. Bollore is in Uganda since 1968.with our
comprehensive knowhow in all the regional corridors, and a pan-African network supporting
our teams in the neighbouring ports of Mombasa in Kenya and dare s salaam in Tanzania, we
have built tailored logistics solutions in Uganda.
With several thousand square metres of conventional and value-added warehouses, we have
also succeeded in addressing the demands of ours customers who seek to entrust their supply
chain to a full-service provider with teams dedicated to the major accounts.
Bollor Africa Logistics employs more than 25,000 professionals in 55 countries worldwide,
including 46 in Africa. Our main activities cover all the fields of Transport and International
Logistics (Port/Airport Operations, Inland Transport, Supply Chain Management ...). For over
50 years, Bollor Africa Logistics has participated in the opening of Africa to the world and
contributes daily to the growth of its trade. We are the leading transport and integrated

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
A statement of the problem is a claim of one or two sentences in length that outlines the
problem addressed by the study. The statement of the problem should briefly address the
question: What is the problem that the research will address. When bringing together a team
to achieve a particular purpose, provide them with a problem statement. A good problem
statement should answer these questions:
1. What is the problem? This should explain why the team is needed.
2. Who has the problem or who is the client/customer? This should explain who needs
the solution and who will decide the problem has been solved.
3. What form can the resolution be? What is the scope and limitations (in time, money,
resources, and technologies) that can be used to solve the problem?
Here you will know the impact of advertising and sales in promoting techniques on
the sales revenue of bollore Africa logistic company has a benefit or is growing
positively.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROBLEM
We have two types of objectives of the problem
Main objective: the main objective is to know the impact of advertising and sales promotion
techniques on the sales revenue of BAFL Company

RESSEARCH METHODOLOGY
a) Data collection method: Data collection is the process of gathering and meaning
information on targeted variables in an established systematic fashion, which then enables
one to answer relevant questions and evaluate outcomes. The data collection component of
research is common to all fields of study including physical and social sciences, humanities
and business.
-Primary data: this is data originally collected by the investigators
(Questionnaire method, interview method)
-Secondary data: means the data which is already available
(Internet, magazine and news paper, books and publication)
