Annabel was a delightful student and was sorely missed when she left

college after completing her A Levels. She took responsibility for her
learning, enjoyed to developing her knowledge and pushed herself to
achieve success. She has used this time since college to carefully
consider her options, and is looking forward to pursuing a career in
Fashion Journalism. Her mature approach to her studies, excellent
analytical and creative skills make her an excellent candidate for this
course.
In English Literature, Annabel was a most pleasant and polite individual
who worked in a consistently diligent manner throughout the course.
She approached each task she has been given in an enthusiastic
manner, and I was impressed by her determination to succeed and
achieve above her target grade. She was able to take responsibility for
her own learning and undertook wider independent reading, a skill that
will put her in good stead for university. Annabel also completed extra
homework pieces while studying this course in order to improve her
grade; this reflects her mature attitude towards her studies. The
hardworking nature that Annabel exhibits was evident in the fact that
her writing style matured and became more fluent throughout her A
Level. Annabel was always willing to offer an opinion during class
discussions and debates. The fact that she attended additional revision
sessions is also testament to her commitment towards her studies.
While studying Media Studies, Annabel was a very hard working and
well-motivated student. She demonstrated excellent communication
skills and developed her practical design work very well throughout the
course. She was very self-motivated and a popular member of the
class. She showed a real flair and understanding in writing tasks, ability
to analyse and explain with great skill. She was a model student
meeting deadlines and adding appropriate detail to all tasks that she
undertook. She had excellent relationships with her peers and lecturers
alike. Annabel demonstrated a great deal of skills in analysis and
interpretation and was always willing to help others to achieve higher
levels. Her determination to push herself creativity and analytically
was outstanding, and was a pleasure to teach.
Finally in Photography, Annabel made good progress throughout the
course. This resulted in Annabel producing some creative and
imaginative photographs. Annabel enjoyed using her digital imaging
skills in Photoshop and produced some sound final practical pieces.
She particularly enjoyed working in the studio where she demonstrated
some sound lighting skills. Annabels coursework journals
demonstrated some detailed recordings of her ideas development and
were well presented and organised. She was also able to analyse
research to a good standard, concerning theme and composition of

other photographic artists work. Annabel was able to achieve set

deadlines and was well organised when completing her practical and
written work, whether in class or as independent study. She was
punctual for her sessions. Annabel is able to work well as both
independently and as part of a group.
To sum up, Annabel was a hardworking student who was focused on
her studies. She is now ready to face the challenges of HE and is well
suited to university life. I can highly recommend her to you without
hesitation.
