Notable Sustainability Highlights:
A plumbing fixture upgrade drastically reduced the amount of potable water
consumed for toilet flushing and hand washing. The building saves over 50% in
indoor water usage of a calculated baseline.
The mechanical and lighting system upgrades and retro-commissioning process
improved energy performance, out performing the national average by over 41%
The Citys purchasing policies means that over 60% of all new electric-powered
equipment is EnergyStar or EPEAT rated; the dollar value is over 70% for all
ongoing consumable sustainable purchases.
A coordinated alternative transportation survey effort resulted in a demonstration
of over 63% of employees using alternative transportation methods to commute
to work.
Project Costs:
Registration- $900
Certification- $10,000
Green Power (Carbon Off-sets) - $1524
Green Power (RECs) - City Bulk Purchase
Energy Retrofits
Mechanical System Upgrades: $306,032
Building Management System upgrades: $123,221
Lighting Upgrades: $237,037
