What is your advocacy on environmental awareness?
-For me, it is the consciousness and how a person conserve the natural
resources of the environment. In today's society, people have become very
wasteful. Thats why our environment is very crucial nowadays.
There are ways on how to conserve our environment, first we must know how to
turn off the lights when it is not being use, second we must know to put in proper
place our waste, third we must not leave the faucet on when nobody is not using it,
fourth we must plant more trees instead of cutting them, fifth we must know how
to clean our environment. God created us not to destroy His resources, yet we are
the one who will appreciate the beauty of the world and to take good care of it.
Nowadays, we are suffering from different environmental problems, the question
is, where all this came from? It is all this came from us. Because of peoples
disrespect in our environment, we arent conserving resources thats the reason
why. As a Salettenian, I, myself will be the one who lead all people not to waste
but conserve our environment for a better future.
What is the importance of environmental awareness?
-Environmental awareness proves important for several reasons; it fosters a
sense of connection to the natural world, promotes sustainable development and
encourages conservation of irreplaceable natural resources and vulnerable plant
and animal species. Environmental awareness essentially serves as an educational
tool, helping people around the world understand the economic, aesthetic and
biological importance of preserving resources and reducing or eliminating the
harmful impacts of man-made alterations. Environmental awareness or education
helps people understand the consequences of human activities on various lands and
identifies remedial solutions. Environmental awareness is very important because
people need to be aware of what they are doing to the environment around them
and around the world. They need to know what affect their actions have on this
planet and how to make it better. The importance of environmental awareness is
that it helps individuals understand the impact we as humans have on our planet.
Being aware can help us find ways to keep our surroundings clean and green; such
as planting a tree or recycling. An activist is someone who speaks out about the
environment and the proper management of it resources. The importance of an
activist is to push for change either through campaigning at the political level or
simply by educating. Without activists this issue would disappear and be forgotten.
Activists push to keep the environment fresh on the minds of the people. It does

not matter how small of a difference it makes for someone to care for the
environment because every little bit counts. A person can start with environmental
awareness by shutting down their air conditioner, not over using paper or planting
trees. It is important for people to start getting involved more and create
Environmental activism groups that will help protect the environment. When
people start to become more involved in the environment and begin to take care of
our earth then little by little we will begin to see our earth healthier and with less
weather changes. We have to think about our childrens kids and new generation.
They will have to pay the consequences of our actions for destroying our beautiful
earth.
What is the description of environmental awareness?
-Environmental awareness is defined as "The growth and development of
awareness, understanding and consciousness toward the biophysical environment
and its problems, including human interactions and effects. Thinking
"ecologically" Environmental awareness is an awareness and subsequent desire to
preserve natural resources and the environment. Environmental awareness is an
integral part of the movement's success. By teaching our friends and family that the
physical environment is fragile and indispensable we can begin fixing the problems
that threaten it.
