Behavior
Thissubassemblybuildsanopenchannelshapeusingtheinputparameters.Theattachmentpointistypicallyatthestartofthebaseline,at
associatedalignmentsandprofiles.Thebottomlinkofthechannelisthendrawnusingaspecifiedwidth.Usingthesideslopeparameter,the
channelsidesaredrawnoneithersides.
Forthechannelliningdepth,ifanonzeropositivevalueisspecifiedfortheLiningDepthparameter,thenamaterialliningisdrawnaroundthe
channel.TheLiningDepthismeasuredperpendiculartothesideoftheslope,asshowninthepreviousdiagram.Ifazerovalueisspecifiedfor
theLiningDepth,thennolinksareinserted.
Similarly,ifazerovalueisspecifiedforleftorrightextensionsandbackslopewidths,thoselinksareomitted,orarenotdrawn.Extensionheight
canbecontrolledwithatargetparameterprofileassociation.Similarly,theheightofthebackslopeendpointcanbespecifiedtoaprofile.To
forcetheouterbackslopepointtothechanneltopelevation,associatethispointtothechannelsfinishgradeprofile,towhichthisassemblyis
attached.
IftheBackslopeWidthisomitted,theRightMarkedPointislocatedontheouterpointofchannelheightextension.IftheChannelHeight
Extensionlinkisalsoomitted,thenthemarkedpointislocatedontheoutermostpointonthechanneltop.
Note:
InAutoCADCivil3D2010andpreviousversions,theLiningDepthparameterwasmeasuredvertically.InAutoCADCivil3D2011andlater,
thisparameterismeasuredperpendiculartothesideslope.Therefore,ifyouopenadrawingcontainingthesesubassembliesthatwascreated
inAutoCADCivil3D2010orpriorinAutoCADCivil3D2011orlater,andthenrebuildthecorridor(s),thisparameterwillbechangedtoreflect
thenewbehavior.Anyvolumereportsthatusethissubassemblywillbeupdatedtoreflectthenewbehavior.
