About the role


The analyst will work on marketing, strategy definition and execution for
mergers and acquisition deals. Primary focus will be on the following.
a) Understanding the strategic priorities of acquirers in certain industry
sectors
b) Identifying acquisition target companies that are aligned with the
strategic objectives of the acquirers (This will involve working with
emerging, growth and established companies, private equity firms and
investors globally).
c) Managing the transaction process, including but not limited to
valuations, acquirer and target company communication, client
management and transaction closure.
The analyst will support the advisory teams on international transactions
and marketing initiatives. As a part of the work, the analyst will, in
particular, be expected to: conduct in-depth industry research and
individual company strategic and financial analysis; perform valuation
work; participate in the preparation of client and marketing presentations
and buy/sell-side documentation. This is a great opportunity for the right
person to learn and grow, in an entrepreneurial setting on high growth
areas, while working closely with experienced bankers, consultants and
investors and preparing for a career in investment banking and private
equity.
Analysts will be supervised and mentored by senior teams with several
years of operating, consulting and transactional experience in their
respective industries. This is a high impact, high visibility role with
opportunities for rapid progression within the firm.
Successful analysts will have key learning in the following categories:
a) Understanding of the strategic trends in certain industry sectors
(technology, manufacturing, automotive, etc.)
b) Understanding of the investment banking and private equity process
while preparing for a career in these industries
c) Developing relationships with key emerging and leading companies in
certain sectors and private equity firms
d) Development of personal skills like presentation and communication
abilities and confidence through interaction with senior client
management and industry leaders

presence of mind and maturity and excellent communication skills.
Requirements for this role include:
a. Course work and background in finance, mathematics, business,
engineering, etc.
b. Very good academic performance (please indicate GPA on the resume)

e. Appeared for or planning to appear for the CFA exams
f. Proficiency in excel and financial modelling
g. Excellent communication and writing skills
