Spellcasting rules condensed

Willpower
May only spend one point per turn
Maximum is Composure+Resolve
(!) Spend one point for +3 on any Draw
Spend one Dot to Relinquish a Spell
Gain one per Downtime
Gain one by fulfilling your Vice, once per Scene
Gain all by fulfilling your Virtue, once per Scene

Mana
Spend one if casting Improvised Magic from any Arcana but your two Ruling
Spend one if required by the Spell description
Maximum is 10 + 1 per purchased Dot of Gnosis
May only spend a number equal to your Gnosis per turn
(!) Spend three to restore one Bashing or Lethal Health level, once per Chapter
(!) Spend one to reduce Paradox by one point
Gain three by Scouring (taking one Resistant Lethal damage)
Gain three by Degrading (reducing one Physical Attribute by a dot for a Chapter), once per
Chapter
Gain one or more with an Oblation at a Hallow or by your Legacy

Gain one or more by Sacrificing a living being
Artifacts may supplement your personal supply

Magical Tools, Soulstones


(!) Invoke a Magical Tool while Casting to reduce Paradox by one point
Invoke a Soulstone Tool in the area with an appropriate gesture, even if not at hand
Invoke a Soulstone Tool to convert a Vulgar Spell to Covert if entirely within your Ruling Arcana,
once per Chapter

Spells
Improvised Spells are a Draw of Gnosis+Arcana
Rote Spells are a Draw of Attribute+Skill+Arcana
Each successive attempt is at -1 to the Spell Draw
Each Spell active on a Mage beyond their Stamina causes a -1 to Casting
Maximum number of Active Spells is Gnosis+3
Rote Spells require a hand motion (Mundra) to be performed
Success on casting Draws normaly counts towards the Potency Factor
Vulgar castings flare Nimbus (Composure+Occult to flare intentionally)
Damage of Spells is limited for Rotes (lowest of Attribute, Skill or Gnosis) and Improvised
(Arcana)
(!) Spend a Turn using High Speech to gain +2 to the Spell Draw
(!) Spend a Turn using High Speech to draw Runes and gain +1 Duration Factor

Any Instant Spell may be cast as Extended instead, usually requiring a Downtime Action
Spells may be Countered as a Defensive Instant Action, if the Spell's Arcana is known by the
Counterer ( Gnosis + Arcana )
Pre-cast Spells may be active at the start of each Chapter, equal to Stamina. Successes are equal
to Resolve*Gnosis
At Gnosis 3, it is possible to Combine multiple Spells into a single casting

Factors
(!) Each -2 you take to a Casting Draw increases the number of Targets, Duration or Area of the
spell
You may use Advanced Factors if 1 Dot higher in the Arcana than is required
Standard Prolonged Duration, -8 = 24 hours
Advanced Prolonged Duration, -2 = 24 hours

-1 per Mana
-1 if invoking a Tool
-1 if using a Rote
-2 if in Shadow
+1 per Paradox Pull in a Scene
+2 if Vulgar and Sleepers witness
