!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!! NOTE:
!!!
!!! In case of something is going wrong during the update
!!!
!!! procedure, the board will not be able to startup anymore. !!!
!!!
!!!
!!! Therefore read the following lines carefully!
!!!
!!!
!!!
!!! In case of any fault, the board must be returned to
!!!
!!! the factory where the onboard memory can be re-programmed !!!
!!! using a BMEM circuit board.

1.) Power-off the system or shutdown the IPU interface board
2.) replace the CF-card from IPU
3.) Put the released application image (IPU_R6G.BIN) and the
boot FW image (BOOTR5A.BIN) on the CF-card.
4.) remove the old application images (e.g. IPU_R6F.BIN)
5.) plug in the CF-card to the IPU and restart the system
or run the update procedure from BMS
6.) disable the supervision cycle:
- on CPU-D5 (short circuit between B10 & C10 on connector position 2
=> short circuit of the top right pins on the most upper connector
(closest to the FW LED's);
- on CPU-D4 (short circuit between A18 & C18 on connector position 2
=> this is the most upper connector (closest to the FW LED's);
This will also disable all features enabled by the FECU circuit.
7.) Setup a "Telnet" session to the IPU interface.
The following screen should appear:
+------------------------------------------+
username: remote

password:

+------------------------------------------+
The user name is fixed the "remote" and the password
is according to the programmed system password (default 33333).
Afterwards you will get the following lines:
+------------------------------------------+
username: remote

password:

Welcome to OSE Shell R1.0.2.

8.) Now you are connected to the remote maintenance shell tool
included in the actual running application image of IPU.
This shell tool does provide a lot of different commands
which shall be used only by authorized and skilled personal!
You can now execute different commands with a predefined
command syntax. If you type "help" you will get a list of
all available commands. To get a more detailed information
on a specific command, type the command itself and press enter.
9.) The following commands must be executed to make the update:
### change directory to the root directory on the CF-card ###
$ cd cf0
Current directory now /cf0/
'cd' terminated.
$
### verifiy that you are in a correct directory ###
$ pwd
/cf0/
'pwd' terminated.
$
### list all directory entries ###
$ ls -l
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root

-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root

-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 7438984
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 8388608
'ls' terminated.

$ flash -u BOOTR5A.BIN

Erase onboard flash started.

10.) After the successful update of the onboard flash memory circuit
(indicated by the information lines printed in the telnet session
window) the system shall be restarted using a powerup cycle.
Only during a system restart (board startup) the new boot image
will be executed.
11.) After the system is up and running you can use BMS to verify that
the IPU is now updated and running release version for both, the boot
and the application image.
