Caring society is one of the elements found in the 2020 Vision created by Tun

Dr. Mahathir. The 2020 Vision was part of the development towards a better future
for our country. Caring society is not only about the relationships between other
humans but also our relationship with the environment. Nowadays, there are many
cases happening such as child abuse, sex abuse, human trafficking and many other
social diseases. This happened because lack of moral values, parental guidance and
pure common sense. Negative peer influence, freedom of social media and sexual
promiscuity will lead to a weak society. One of the ways to avoid this is to foster a
caring society. A caring society is important in order to build a successful country
such as Britain, New Zealand and Japan. Therefore, we must tolerate and
cooperate with one another as a caring society so that we can achieve the 2020
Vision.
Besides, there are authorities in caring society. The authorities are also have
a big responsible to others. The authorities are like the police, district officers,
firefighter, judges, and so on. The police also give their commitment in taking care of
people and district officers also watch over the surrounding to make sure we live in
peace and harmony.
Caring society is important in family because it can avoid the instability of
family. For example when there are cases such as children abuse, divorce and
parental neglected. So, to ovoid this the parents must show caring society among
family member especially infront of the children. It is because children easy to follow
what the eldest do. For example parents can do the familys activities during the free
time with their children. As we know teenagers spend lots of time with their friends
rather their parents. So, caring society must be one of important thing in build the
happy and harmony family.
Next, neighbourhood become one of the important in caring society especially
Malaysia. Malaysia have three major races which are Malay, Chinese and Indians.
So, it is important to practise caring society. There are many ways to develop caring
society. For instance, we can make open house during festival, cooperation activities
and join neighbourhood activities. Caring society can avoid social problem among
teenager. With this the vision of 2020 will become true.
The society for safe and caring schools and communities is a not for profit
organization, which builds community capacity to prevent bullying, violence and
exploitation of children and youth through the promotion of healthy relationships.
Safe and caring works to foster effective networks and partnerships to ensure that
every child in Alberta has the opportunity to grow up in a caring and nurturing home,
an engaging and supportive school, and a safe and inclusive community. Safe and
caring offers a wide variety of tools, resources and services including professional
development opportunities, access to evidence-based programming, research, tip
sheets, youth action guidebooks and much more.

In conclusion, I would like to stress that society as a whole should take on the
responsibility of caring for the elderly. We should realize the contribution made by
them. With everyone playing their respective roles, Vision 2020 aimed at cultivating a
caring society can become a reality.
