Bhubaneswar Odisha, 20-22 July 2016

UCPI Regional Leaders Meeting held at Sikshya O Anusandhan (SOA).

One of the highlights of the gathering was the participation for the first time
by a sizeable contingent of leaders from the North Eastern states of India.

India is a nation of 1.2 billion people and thousands of people groups and
languages. To reach a nation of such scale and diversity, the entire Church
of India must be mobilized for prayer, outreach and church planting, as only
the Church has the resources in terms of people, finances and prayer to
achieve this goal. The Vision of United Christian Prayer for India (UCPI) is to
reach the nation of India with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through united
prayer and action during our life time. UCPI mobilizes Episcopal and
organized Evangelical churches by igniting a burden for missions and
providing an attainable strategy that any church can implement. National
meetings convene leaders from across denominations and states to
experience firsthand coming together to pray, fellowship, and strategize
authentic relationships and break down barriers.
Ever since the Movement for united prayer and action has begun, need was
felt to assimilate the participants, volunteers and all the stake holders with
the updates of events and happenings by way of publication of a newsletter.
Time has now come to release the first UCPI Newsletter. We aim to bring out
praise and prayer points, reports on state-wise activities and slated events
and programs through this bi-monthly Newsletter.

The advancing UCPI Team

UCPI movement which began with few volunteers has grown disproportionately to about 65 volunteers
from various states. With more and more new volunteers joining and being envisioned, the vision and
mission of UCPI is expected to spread across the country rapidly.

We take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the participant leaders, state team volunteers, staff and all the benevolent
supporters in India and abroad for their valuable contributions for this unprecedented spiritual movement in our nation.
