Making Dirds!
Follow the steps below to create your own dog/bird creature.
1. Download an image of a dog and a bird from the internet.

You can choose any kind of dog you want. Search for the dog in Google Images. Af
ter clicking on the image you want to click on the View Image button on the right.

Right click on the image select Save Image As and save it to your desktop. Do the
same thing with your image of a bird.

2. You will then open both images in Photoshop. Be sure to check/change the image sizes
before beginning any editing work. You want them to be approximately the same size.

3. Create a duplicate layer in in the image of the bird.

4. Using your selection tool (lasso, magic wand, marquee) select around the dogs head; be
sure to also get some of the neck too. This does not have to be perfect you will be able to
erase away the imperfections later.
5. Change to your arrow tool and click and drag your dog head into the bird image.
6. Using the transform tool (Edit --> Free Transform) Resize the dogs head so that it fits the bird
body. Holding down the shift key and using your arrow tool at the corners you can resize
to scale. You may find it helpful to make your dog layer transparent temporarily.
7. Once the head has been resized, use the eraser tool (you will want one with a fuzzy edge)
to erase away any of the background around the dogs head as well as any extra body

that you do not want.
8. Then use a combination of the eraser, blending tool, and stamp tool to get it just right!
