    WATER TECHNOLOGIES

    AnoxKaldnes laboratory offers GLP compliant and


    accredited tests.
    This means that all analysis can be performed according to OECDs Guidelines for Good Laboratory
    Practice. In addition, the laboratory is compliant with the European chemicals legislation REACH and
    the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

    Biodegradation tests

    Chemical analysis

    In respirometric analysis microbial activity and


    degradation are monitored by the production of
    carbon dioxide or the consumption of molecular
    oxygen. A sea-water test is also available but is
    thus far non-accredited.

    Specialized analyses

    Aerobic degradation is determined by either a


    die-away-test or a respirometric test.
    For die-away tests the degradation is monitored
    by unspecific analysis such as DOC or COD.

    Inhibition bioassays

    An inhibition assay evaluates the effect of


    different concentrations of a contaminant or a
    complex wastewater on the bacteria that are
    responsible for the wastewater treatment.
