Bible Reading: Luke 23:44-49; Heb. 11:1-16; Prov. 27:15-27; Isaiah 49-50

Bible Reading: Luke 24:1-12; Heb. 11:32-40; Prov. 28:15-28; Isaiah 54-55

In Romans 6:17-18 Paul breaks forth in praise for the freedom that Christians have. Pray through these verses and
thank God for the truth that brings us this freedom.

Throughout 2 Timothy, Paul seems bent on one thing:

ensuring that Timothy is not ashamed of the gospel,
but instead continues to pass on the legacy that has
been passed on to them. I am reminded of your sincere
faith... That dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your
mother Eunice and now, I am sure dwells in you as well.
It was a family legacy. What you have heard from me...
entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others
also. It was a legacy of faithfulness. Follow the pattern
continue in what you have learned It is a legacy to be
continued in, and a legacy to be passed down. This is
true for every believer: we have been given the greatest
legacy in the gospel, and legacies are not meant to be
hoarded, but passed on. May the baton not fall at our
feet.

Tuesday

Thursday

Bible Reading: Luke 23:50-56; Heb. 11:17-31; Prov. 28:1-14; Isaiah 51-53

Bible Reading: Luke 24:13-27; Heb. 12:1-13; Prov. 29:1-14; Isaiah 56-58

Hebrews 11 is an account of faithful Old Testament saints. It

has been referred to as The Saints Hall of Faith. All of these
saints attest to the value of living by faith. Faith, as described
in Heb. 11:1, describes the most solid possible conviction. Faith
consists of persistent hope in the promises of God. It is such
faith that preserves salvation (Heb. 10:39). Pray and thank the
Lord for His faithfulness and for providing examples in Scripture, of faithful saints, for us to follow.

Let every person be quick to hear and slow to speak,

says James (1:19). Surely we learn more by listening than
by speaking, and listening to the wisdom of older saints
and of leaders is often commended in the Proverbs.
However, have you ever thought of listening as a spiritual
discipline? Have you ever consider the spiritual benefits of
listening carefully with your heart? Listen to wisdom from
older saints. Listen to the words of your spiritual leaders.
Listen to the preaching of Gods Word. We learn much by
listening well. We should keep a tight leash on our talking,
knowing that it is the greatest obstacle to the life-giving
benefits of listening. Listening well could change your life.
