isatotalitarianstateruledbyKimJungUn.ThehumanrightsofcitizensinNorthKoreaarevery
limited.Whenitcomestohumanrights,NorthKoreaisseparatedfromtherestoftheworld.In
addition,citizensarenotallowedtoleaveNorthKorea.Also,foreignersarenotallowedtoenter
NorthKorea,howeverwhentheyare,theyarestrictlymonitored.Theonlyradios,television,
musicornewprovidersallowedarethoseincontrolbythegovernment.
AttheendofworldwarII,theproblemsbeganwhenkoreahadapartition.Also,there
wasacommunistorganizationledbyKimIISung.Accordingtowikipedia,thekoreanpeninsula
wasdividingintotwo,theKoreanDemilitarizedZoneandtheUSMilitaryForce.Whenthe
SovietBloccollapsed,NorthKoreawentintoaneconomiccrisis.Negotiationstoreunifythe
SouthandNorthfailedbecausesouthwasincontrolbyUnitedStatesandnorthwasincontrolby
theSovietUnion.Therearetwotypesofgovernments,DemocraticPeoplesRepublicof
Korea(North)andRepublicofKorea(South).
InNorthKorea,humanrightsareverylimited.Whenitcomestohumanrights,North
Koreaisacategoryofitsown.Firstofall,itisillegaltoleaveNorthKoreawithoutpermission
fromanauthority.IfonecriticizestheleadershipofNorthKorea,hisorherfamilyand
themselveswillbetakenintoapoliticalprisoncamp.Also,itisillegaltoownaradioandthere
isnointernetaccess.Eversince1990s,citizensofNorthKoreahavebeenfacingfoodshortages.

Mostofthepeopleheldinpoliticalprisoncampsdidntcommitacrime,howevertheyare
relatedtosomeonewhocommittedacrime.
ThepeopleofNorthKoreaarevictims.WomeninNorthKoreausuallymigratetoChina
andinChinatheybecomeprostitutes.Also,womenareforcedtomarryiftheyarecaughtby
KoreanChineseorNorthKoreanmenwhiletheygoacrosstheChinaKoreanborder.Mostof
thepeoplecaughtbymenoperatingtheborderareimprisonedbecausetheycantspeakchinese.
TherearetwoorganizationsthatareconsideredpoliceinNorthKoreaMinistryof
PeoplesSecurityandtheStateofSecurityDepartment.Thesetwoorganizationsareresponsible
forsocialcontrol.Accordingtowikipedia,MinistryofPeoplesSecurityisoneofthemost
powerfulorganizationsthatcontrolspublicsecuritypersonnel.StateSecurityDepartmentworks
directlyforKimJongUn.SecretpolicesinNorthKoreaarecalledBowibuarealsoassociated
withtheStateSecurityDepartment.
IwouldsaythattheUnitedStatesistryingtogetnorthkoreanstooverthrowKimJong
Un.TheUnitedStateswantsthenorthkoreanstooverthrowKimJongUnbecauseheisfocusing
onmainlyweaponsofmassdestruction.Inaddition,wedonotknowiftheyaregoingtoattack
uswiththenuclearbombs.TheUnitedStatesworriesthatwewillbeinabigwarwithNorth
Korea.
ChinaisaneighbortoNorthKoreaso,theyfearaboutNorthKoreasnuclears.
Therefore,ChinavotesforUNsanctions.ChinasstrategyofdefeatingKimistoshowhimthat
economicgrowthisbetterthanmilitarism.TheUnitedStatesandSouthKoreaplanonhunting
forNorthKoreasloosenukes.TheUnitedStatesissayingthatifChinastopstradingwithNorth
Korea,theUnitedStateswillhaveanadvantage.

Accordingtopubliclyavailableinformation,NorthKoreasuraniumenrichmentisclose
toproducingbombmakingmaterial.Thisisbadbecauseifthenuclearfacilityworks,North
Koreawillbeabletoproducefivenuclearweaponsinsixmonths.Also,theplutoniumcan
powerotherfacilitiesandthatwillleadtomoreweaponproduction.Therefore,themain
challengetotheUnitedStatesisshuttingdowntheuraniumenrichmentprogram.
IthinktheonlywaytohelpNorthKoreaistofindawaytosneakcitizensoutofthere.
WhentherearelesscitizensinNorthKorea,productionwilldecreasebecausetherewontbeas
manyworkers.Moreover,theUnitedStatesneedtofindawayofconvincingtheNorthKoreans
tolimittheirnuclearweapons.Mostimportantly,Ithinkifwefindwheretheirnuclearweapons
arelocated,wecandestroythemormaybeevenstealthem.
