below, and write a few sentences about the expectations you have on
the course.

My research is about the prevalence, risk factors and treatment of

leishmaniasis. I will map the geographical distribution of the disease in
its mucosal, cutaneous and subclinical presentation. Additionally, a
panel of cytokines will be performed after an in vitro stimulation of
leucocites of patients with mucosal, cutaneous and subclinical
leishmaniasis, in order to compare the responses. A clinical trial phase
IV of equivalence between the use of systemical and local use of
antimonials will be performed, comparing the efficacy, local and
systemic adverse reactions and adherence of the patients.
About the course, I will expect to learn more about how to calculate
sample size, cluster analysis, and general models.
