John K. Dema Law Offices, Rockville, MD Summer 2015; Spring/Summer 2016
Law practice focused on environmental litigation. Participated in case
discussions on environmental cases including fracking and ground water
pollution; prepared a review of a report by a consultant evaluating content and
redundancy to aid in simplifying the report and also payment
discussions/disputes.

Responsible for care of pets and house for neighbors while on vacation

Washington Youth Summit on the Environment (George Mason University) 2015
nominated by counselor as a delegate to this leadership conference and attended courses
earning college credit that included discussing environmental issues with government
personnel (congress representatives, Director of EPA), advocates, conservationist and
environmental scientists (Smithsonian Institute, National Geographic); participated in
field study on animal conservation at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute.
BioSphere2 Environmental Science Internship (University of Arizona, Tucson) 2015
internship at the world renowned BioSphere2 participating in discussions, research and
field study on environmental issues. Presented research project: Biodiversity in the Water
Courses (Savannah, Rain Forest, Mangrove and Ocean) of Biosphere2 to faculty and
other interns.
Montgomery County Teen Court 2015 participated as juror in Montgomery County
Court for teens debating crime and appropriate consequences, working to achieve
consensus amongst fellow teen jurors and then making recommendation for sentence to
the judge.
