York Visitor Centre Suggestion

Take a picnic lunch from York and drive through the


Farmlands of Western Australias wheat belt.. 8 Self Drive
Tours available from the YVC and Kookaburras. Guided tour
available $1.10 per klm and $15 per hour for the guide.
Toapin Weir - approx 55km. See early settlers rock catchment
dam in the bush on the Quairading Road. Carry on 7km to
Dangin, founded in 1902, walk trail.. 7km further, on to
Quairading (1907), 67km from York. Then approx 46km on to
Kokerbin Rock a high granite tor, the third largest monolith in
Australia and home to distinctive fauna and flora including sandalwood. Also a rock well, superbly constructed by early settlers.

Wambyn Organic Olive Farm began in 1994. Cold-pressed,
organic, extra-virgin olive oil and table olives. In conjunction with our
farming enterprise we are also the worlds first ruined piano sanctuary.
Ruined pianos have been collected from around the state and placed in
strategic positions around our 160acre farm.
People are welcome to visit by appointment only. We will give you a
map to guide you around the old pianos. If you wish you can have a cup
of tea or coffee and listen to some of the ruined piano music.

Approx 28 km. Historic Tavern on the old Railway Line. Sites
remain from the days when Spencers Brook was an important
