Step 5. Make sure you select a sequential course for non-credit recovery courses.
Step 6: Naming your class using OX15M then the name of the class then A or B if it is a full year
class. See example below.
Step 7: Set your End Date to 08/31/16 and press continue in the lower right hand corner.
Step 8: Review your course and click Submit in the lower right hand corner.
Step 3: Your module was probably created between module 01 and 02. You need to move it up
by click Edit and Move Module Up
Step 4: Adding a Grading Category. We are going to be adding a notebook but we need a
category. Click the Grading Category Tab at the top. Then click Add Category in the lower left
corner.
Step 5: In the popup window, title the category Notebook with a weight of 10
Step 6: Creating a Notebook module. Scroll down to the module immediately before Review Test
(or Final Exam). Click Add and Module. Title the module Notebook
Step 7: Adding a Notebook Assignment. In the Notebook module, click Add Then

Step 8: In the popup window, title your assignment Notebook with relative weight of 90, score
entry: Percent (%), and student dropbox: Multiple documents.
Step 9: Moving content from the digital library. Click Tools in the top black bar. Select
Digital Library Dashboard
Step 11. Select OVA Course Setup Modules (this is shared resources are located)
Step 12. Select Course Notebook Requirement, Notebook Requirement Quiz, Academic
Integrity, & Step 6: Assessment/ Signature of Contract then click Add to Course.
Step 13: In the left hand column click on the class you wish to add the content to then click the
check box next to 00: Getting Started Right. Finally click Create Link
Step 14: Go back to your syllabus and verify that the content is under the 00:Getting Started
Right module.
Step 15: When you add something from the digital library the default category is Pretest. The
assignments moved in need to be changed. Click Course Notebook Requirement and selected
Edit and Selected Activity

Step 16: Make the following changes: Set the Category as Lessons and the Relative weight as
1.
Step 17: Edit the settings for the assignment Notebook Requirement Quiz. Under Gradebook
Settings dropdown, Make the Category: Notebook, Relative weight: 5, Score entry: Percent
(%), Check Include in final grade and Passing score required for course credit, & Passing Score
(%): 80

Step 18: Edit the settings for the assignment Academic Ingretity lesson. Change the Category:
Lessons and Relative weight: 1
Step 19: Edit the settings for the assignment Step 6: Assessment/Signature of Contract quiz.
Under the Gradebook Setting dropdown, Make Category: Notebook, Relative Weight: 5, Check
Include in final grade and Passing score required for course credit, & Passing Score (%): 100

Step 20: Under the Assessment Setting dropdown, Uncheck Allow save and continue &
Randomize question order, check Require an answer to all questions
Step 21: Under the Visibility and Completion dropdown, in the Completion area select Mark as
completed when student: Achieves a passing score on this activity and check Student must
complete before continuing
Step 22: Since in GradPoint the Final Exam is called Review Test, the name needs to be changed
to prevent confusion.

Step 23: Under the Review Test Module select Edit and Module Details
Step 25: Under the new Final Exam module click on the Review Test select Edit and Selected

Step 27: Under the Assessment Settings dropdown, set the Security Level to Password
Protected and set you password from the password list below. Uncheck Allow save and continue.

Step 1: Click on the Grading Categories Tab. Show Categories Only gives you a
nice condensed view. Click on Add Category.

Step 3: Drag each Post Test from its individual category and place it under the
new Posttests category. See short video for a visual explanation.

Step 4: Once all of your test have been moved, click Show Categories Only and
re-weight your categories as shown.

Step 6: Under Course Settings click the Gradebook tab. To adjust the Grade
Scale click the middle grade scale A+, A, A-,,F and select Edit
