The table illustrates the number of international tourist arrivals by the

eight countries in 2009 and 2010 and the percentage of growth.


Overall, except France and the UK, all countries reported progress in
one year.
To begin with, In 2009, France had 76.8 million tourists, and by 2010 ,
it remained at the same place and showed no change. In addition to
this, the US in 2009 had at 55.0 millions, which was a marginal growth
up to 59.7 by 2010, and the change was 8.5%. Following this, Spain
had approximately 52.0 millions tourists in both years and the change
was only 1%. Next, China had only 50.9 million travelers in 2009, but a
marked growth up to 55.7 millions by 2009, resulted a 9.4%
difference.
After this, Italy had the almost the same numbers of travelers at
about 43.0 millions in both years and displayed a + 0.9% change.
Finally, the UK, Turkey and Germany had 28.2, 25.5 and 24.2 millions
in 2008 and by 2009, they were at 28.1, 27.0 and 26.9 and the
changes were slight (-0.3%), moderate( +5.9%) and considerable
(+11.1%) respectively.

In conclusion, France outnumbered all other countries in both years


(76.8) and Germany experienced the most highest difference in the
number of international tourists between 2008 and 2009.
