This study aims to determine the level of awareness of selected SLSU employees on
the fraud prevention practices of Landbank of the Philippines-Lucban Branch. The
researchers seek to determine profile of Landbank of the Philippines in terms of historical
background, services, corporate governance and fraud prevention practices, to determine
the level of awareness of selected SLSU employees on bank fraud in terms of different
types and different causes and lastly to determine the level of awareness of SLSU
employees on Fraud Prevention Practices of Landbank of the Philippines-Lucban Branch.
There were 85 SLSU employees as respondents who were selected through random
sampling. The research was descriptive method using questionnaire in order to determine
the data needed for the output of the study. The researchers used mean, percentage and
Likerts scale in determining the answers for the objectives. The findings revealed that
there are more teaching personnel than non-teaching personnel respondents. The
respondents are aware on the different types of bank fraud having a weighted mean of 3.1

and causes of fraud having a weighted mean of 3.20 and lastly, they are highly aware on
the fraud prevention practices of Landbank of the Philippines-Lucban Branch with a
weighted mean of 3.51. Based on the findings, the following conclusions were made.
First, Landbank of the Philippines offers a wide range of services, financial products and
programs that cater their clients. Second, there are more teaching personnel than nonteaching personnel at Southern Luzon State University. Third, SLSU employees are
aware on the different types and causes of bank fraud and lastly, they are highly aware of
the fraud prevention measures of Landbank of the Philippines-Lucban Branch.
