GENERALINTRUCTIONSFORTHECANDIDATES
1.

Candidatesshould,inadditiontotheirAdmitCard,bring:
a) twocopiesoftheirlatestcoloredphoto(3cmx3.5cm)
b) atleastonephotoidentityproofinORIGINALwithclearphotograph(e.g.AADHARCard,DrivingLicense,University
/CollegeID,VoterIDCard,PANCard,etc)
c) Photocopyofidentityproofmentionedat(b)above.
Ifacandidatefailstobringtheabovedocuments,he/shewouldnotbeadmittedintheexaminationvenueandhis/her
candidaturecouldbecancelled.

Prohibited items such as watches, books, pens, paper chits, magazines, electronic gadgets (Mobile phones, Bluetooth
devices, Head phones, Pen/Buttonhole cameras, Scanner, Calculator, Storage devices etc) are STRICTLY NOT
ALLOWEDintheexaminationlab.Ifanysuchitemisfoundinthepossessionofacandidateintheexaminationlab,his/her
candidatureisliabletobecancelledandlegal/criminalproceedingscouldbeinitiatedagainsthim/her.He/shewouldalso
liabletobedebarredfromappearinginfutureexaminationsoftheCommissionforaperiodof3years.
3. Candidatesareadvisednottobringtheprohibiteditemsmentionedabovetotheexaminationvenue.Incasetheybring
anysuchitem,theywouldhavetomaketheirownarrangementsforsafecustodyofsuchitems.TheCommissionshallnot
makeanyarrangementnorberesponsibleforthesafecustodyofanysuchitem.
4. Pen/pencil and paper for rough work would be provided in the examination room. Electronic watch (timer) will be
availableonthecomputerscreenallottedtocandidates.
5. AllExamLabsareunderVideoSurveillance.
6. Thecandidatesareadvisedtoavoidtalkingtoothercandidatesorindulginginanyunfairmeans.
7. CANDIDATES MUST ENSURE THAT THEY DO NOT APPEAR IN CGLE2016, TIERI MORE THAN ONCE OR ELSE
THEY WOULD RUN THE RISK OF THEIR CANDIDATURE NOT ONLY BEING CANCELLED BUT ALSO OF THEIR
BEING DEBARRED FROM FUTURE EXAMINATIONS OF THE COMMISSION FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS. In
case the candidate has submitted the application more than one complete application, it is the responsibility of the
candidatetoappearattheexaminationonlyagainstthelastacceptedapplication.
8. Candidatureofcandidatesispurelyprovisional.Itisadvisedthatcandidatesshouldsatisfythemselvesthattheyfulfillall
theeligibilityconditions.Ifatanystageitisfoundthatacandidatedoesnotfulfillanyoftheeligibilityconditions,his/her
candidatureshallbecancelled.
9. CandidatesshallbepermittedtoappearintheexamonlyatthevenueasspecifiedintheAdmissionCertificate.
10. TheentryoftheCandidatesinsidethevenuewillONLYbeallowed:

i) between8.30AM9.30AMforthefirstsession,
ii) between11.45AM12.45PMforthesecondsessionand
iii) between2.45PM3.45PMforthethirdsession.
NoteCandidatesreachingthevenueafterentryclosingtimeshallnotbeallowedtoentertheexaminationvenue.
11. Candidates shall have to undergo the process of FRISKING and ensure that their BIOMETRIC REGISTRATION is
completedbeforetheyentertheexaminationlab.Candidatesshallnotbeallowedtoleavetheexaminationvenueonce
theirBiometricregistrationiscompleted.
12. CANDIDATES MUST STRICTLY ABIDE BY THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE EXAM FUNCTIONARIES (CENTRE
SUPERVISOR/INVIGILATOR,ETC).
13. ThecandidatesshouldensurethattheyprovideclearLeftThumbImpression(LTI),CertificationStatementintheirrunning
handwritingandsignatureonCommissionscopyofAdmissionCertificate.
14. No candidate is allowed to leave the examination lab before the completion of the examination for any reason without
permissionfromtheexamfunctionaries.Onceacandidateleavesthelabwithoutthepermissionoftheexamfunctionaries,
he/sheshallnotbeallowedtoreentertheexaminationlabandshallbedebarredfromtheexamination.
15. Ifanycandidateisfoundobstructingtheconductoftheexaminationorcreatingdisturbancesattheexaminationvenue,
his/her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate shall also be liable to be debarred from future
examinationsoftheCommissionandlegal/criminalproceedingscouldbeinitiatedagainsthim/her.
16. Iftheexaminationdoesnotcommenceatthescheduledtimeorisinterruptedmidwayduetoanytechnicalsnagorforany
otherreason,candidatesshouldfollowtheinstructionsoftheexamfunctionaries.Theymayhavetowaitpatientlytillthe
issue is suitably addressed and resolved. In case, the problem is major and cannot be resolved for any reason, their
examinationmayberescheduledforwhichthecandidateswouldbedulyintimated.
17. Candidatesareassuredthatincaseofanydisruptionofexaminationforanyreasonsuchasanymajor/minortechnical
snagorslowspeedofserver/breakdownofserveretc.,theywillnot,underanycircumstances,losetheexaminationtimeto
whichtheyareentitled.
18. CandidatesareadvisedtoreporttotheconcernedRegionaloffice/Commission,incasetheynoticeanyirregularityduring
conductofexamination.Theidentityofsuchcandidateswillbekeptconfidential.
19. CandidatesareadvisedtofamiliarizethemselveswiththeComputerBasedExaminationwiththehelpofPracticeTest
availableonthewebsitesoftheCommissionandtheRegionalOffices.
20. CandidatesareadvisedtoseetheExamWalkthroughmodule (Hindi/English) also available on the websites of the
CommissionandRegionalOfficestofamiliarizethemselveswiththeexaminationprocess.

3. YouwillberequiredtogothroughaSAMPLETESTbeforeyouaccesstheMainExam.
4. Youareadvisednottotouchthewiresandcablesasitcouldleadtothecomputershuttingdown.
