O NOT WORRY
Pastor J Chiname

1 Peter 5 vs 7, casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your
concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you
watchfully.
To worry is to think about a problem or fear. To feel or show fear and concern because
you think that something bad has happened or could happen. Most people are used to
worrying, they do not see anything wrong in it. They think its normal and to them, thats the
way to go when you face challenges and difficulty times in life. Worrying is wrong. Worrying
is a deadly habit. It kills more than alcohol, actually more than viruses.
The bible in Philippians 4 vs 6 says be anxious for nothing. In other words, they are no reasons
to be worried or anxious about. Have nothing to worry about. Nothing means nothing. Nothing
is left out, everything is disqualified. You should not worry about anything. Not even your
health condition, fees shortage or even the empty container of mealy-meal in your house.
1) Worrying is meditating on the negative or on what is contrary to Gods word.
It is thinking deeply on a problem. What you can see in the mental realm, materializes
in the physical realm. Your thoughts or imaginations creates realities in the physical
world. Thoughts of hopelessness, thoughts of fear, doubt, death or suicide attract
negative things in your life. Through worrying, the problem becomes part of you, you
will start to see it, imagine, it becomes more real to you than Gods word.
Abraham in Genesis 13vs 14-15, was commanded to see from where he was the whole
land he wanted. How was it possible to see the whole of Canaan standing at the same
place? Yet with your sharp eyesight you cannot even see what is happening just 10
kilometres from where you are. He was to see it with his mind. Imagining it. Proverbs
23vs 7 says as a man thinks so is he.
2) What you worry about, you always talk about it.
What you worry about becomes established in your life through confession.
Matthew 12vs 34b, from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
A worried person is a negative person. He speaks of how it cannot be done. How he
feels, how it will not work and how he will be disappointed. He is good at regretting.
Matthew 6vs 31 says, so do not worry about these things, saying, What we will eat?
What we will drink? What we will wear?
These people are good at questioning themselves and others. What will we eat? What
if it doesnt work? Refuse to worry, just put your trust in God and keep on saying what
the word says about your situation.
Proverbs 18 vs 21, The tongue can bring death and life; those who love to talk will
reap the consequences.
Your words are a reflection of what is inside you.
3) Worrying is carrying your own burden.

TTTTETTTT

Matthew 11 vs 28-30, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens,
and l will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because l am humble
and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear,
and the burden l give you is light.
Psalm 55vs 22, Cast your burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain you: he shall
never suffer the righteous to be moved.
A burden is something heavy? Its a load. No one enjoys to carry a burden. It wears
you down. Jesus Christ is your burden bearer; you cannot continue to carry that heavy
weight on your shoulders. Cast it on him. After you have cast in on the alter on him,
dont carry it again with you. If you keep on carrying that burden it will kill you joy,
your peace, your healthy and your life. That heavy burden will crush you completely.
Read also, Hebrews 12vs 1-2.
4) Worrying open doors for demonic attacks.
Romans 14vs 23b, for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Worrying is giving room in our lives for demonic oppression. It is associated with fear
and fear is the opposite of faith in God. Fear is having faith in the ability of the enemy.
Fear is doubting God and his word. If doubt is sin, then fear is sin. Most people who
lives in worry are oppressed with diseases such as sugar, TB, BP etc.
The devil is the one who influences people to worry, once you give him room. He magnifies
your challenge, creating in your life, more problems and worsening them.
1 Peter 5vs 7 says casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. It says casting upon
him and not giving your care. To Cast is to throw or move something in a forceful way. To cast
involves throwing like a fisherman casting his nets into the water. Just like it is when you are
carrying something really heavy. You will not just bring it down but you cast it. Throw it on
him and never pick it again, for it will weigh you down.
God cares for you dearly, if you have not given your life to him, do it today and start to enjoy
a worry-free life and the unfailing love of God. Casting it all on him, proves your faith in his
ability and your confidence in his fatherhood.
