Contribution of my family towards society:

I belong to a culturally enriched family of Odisha and inherited religio-

philosophical tradition with liberal humanistic attitude towards society. My

grandfather was a traditional Kabiraj with indigenous knowledge of
medicine and treatment who was serving poor people with dedication. My
maternal grandfather retired as a professor from Tagores Visva-Bharati
University at Santiniketan and immensely contributed in the field of art
and literature. My parents both are academics, have been teaching and
carrying on research for last thirty years. My father is a faculty of NCERT
and a wellknown writer in odia literature, continuously working in the field
of culture and literature. His contribution towards making of Odia, a
classical language is recognized. My mother is teaching Physics in an
autonomous college and disseminating science among masses through
writing popular science articles and books.
