TELESCOPIC ARTICULATING AERIAL PLATFORM LIFT (BUCKET TRUCK)

INTENT: It is the intent of these specifications is to describe a Telescopic Articulating

Aerial Platform Lift mounted on a heavy duty truck chassis design for mounting of the
aerial lift (Bucket Truck). The unit should have a working height of 45, height to the
bottom of platform 40, horizontal reach 27 9 and include the following standard and
optional features. The unit offered shall be new, unused, the current production model
and conform to the specifications below
The vehicle shall comply with all Federal and State of Nevada Emission Control
Regulations, and Safety Standards in effect at the time of delivery to the owner.
These specifications shall be construed as minimum requirements. Should the
manufacturers current published data or specifications exceed these, they shall be
considered as minimum and be furnished by the bidder.

SPECIFICATION NO. 1
PLATFORM End mounted closed 24 x 30 x 42 fiberglass platform with one step,
vinyl foam cover

SPECIFICATON NO. 2
PLATFORM CONTROLS Single stick control operation with safety lock out trigger
(will not allow boom movement until trigger is depressed) Control valve will allow full
pressure and full flow operation as well as feathering control between three control
movements allowing multi-function boom movement. A start and stop functions will also
be located in the platform along with an emergency stop control and emergency lowering
valve.

SPECIFICATION NO 3.
LOWER CONTROLS Individual lower control station will be provided at turret
actuate. Controls will operate all boom functions and include a selector valve to override
the upper controls and a start and stop functions will also be located along with
emergency stop control at this location.

SPECIFICATION NO. 4
HYDRAULIC PLATFORM LEVELING Hydraulic Platform Leveling System The
platform leveling system can also be activated from the lower controls to adjust platform
leveling, tilt the platform for cleaning, or to ease the removal on an injured operator.

INNER BOOM ASSEMBLEY Fiberglass inner boom providing 42 in. insulation gap
fully retracted meeting ANSI A92.2-2001 requirements for Category C, 46 KV and
below. Non-continuous rotation of 370 degrees. Non-lube bearings used at all pivot
points

SPECIFICATION NO. 6
PINS - All pins used to connect cylinder ends and rod ends will be high strength alloy
steel, chrome plated for corrosion resistance.

SPECIFICATION NO. 7
CYLINDERS Threaded end cap design, lower boom and extension cylinders will be
equipped with two holding valves to prevent down creep and to lock booms in position in
the event of a hose failure. Outer boom cylinder will be equipped with one holding valve.

SPECIFICATION NO. 8
TURRET- Shall be constructed using steel plate and steel tube with in. plate gussets
welded for rigidity. Turret bottom shall be machined flat to support rotation bearing and
include a cover for the bearing. Turret bearing will accessible lubrication points. Turret
will rotate 370 degrees non continuous with a mechanical stop. A means to rotate the
turret mechanically will be provided in case of hydraulic failure.

SPECIFICATION NO. 9
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM 3 gpm open center hydraulic system, 15 gallon reservoir
capacity with fluid level gauge, 100 mesh suction screen, 10 micron return line filter,
pump pressure and flow rate will be compatible for continuous operation of the boom and
optional accessories with a minimum pressure rating of 2250 psi, pump drive transmission PTO, hoses routed internally through the boom will be high pressure non
conductive with swaged hose end fitting and have protective sleeves installed at
movement wear points.

ENGINE START/STOP boom will only operate when the truck is in park and the
truck ignition is in the on position. Start and stop functions will also be located in the
platform and at the base of the pedestal.
