B. FUNDAMENTACIN DEL PROGRAMA:
Este programa permitir la formacin de talento humano en el rea de los materiales y trabajar
sobre proyectos especficos de desarrollo de productos y/o mejoramiento de tecnologa en
colaboracin con la industria del sector y con otros grupos de investigacin a nivel nacional.
Los egresados podrn abordar problemas relacionados con el rea de los materiales y
presentar aportes significativos e innovadores que permitan a la industria nacional competir
en los mercados internacionales.
Adicionalmente a lo anterior, la formacin como investigadores tambin estar orientada
hacia las ciencias aplicadas.
C. OBJETIVOS DEL PROGRAMA:
-
Formar talento humano con pertinencia social, excelente calidad acadmica y cientfica,
que le permita incorporarse a labores de investigacin, docencia y desarrollo en
instituciones de Educacin Superior, as como en los sectores productivos y de servicio
tanto a nivel regional, nacional e internacional en el rea de la ciencia y la tecnologa de
materiales.
Ofrecer una formacin slida terico-prctica en las diferentes reas del conocimiento de
los materiales (cermicos, metlicos, polmeros y compuestos, entre otros.)
Propender por la formacin de profesionales idneos con slida formacin en
investigacin que les permita involucrarse en el anlisis y solucin de problemas,
tendientes a satisfacer las necesidades del sector productivo de la regin.
Desarrollar investigadores de excelencia, con un nivel de originalidad, independencia y
metodologa cientfica.
