ABSTRACT

This study was to investigate about the push factors that have caused the illegal
immigrants has come to migrate to Malaysia without them thinking about their potential
dangers they encountered throughout the process to come to Malaysia. This study also
aims to examine whether the arrival of illegal immigrants has many negative effects on
the national security of Malaysia and will study to examine the extent of illegal
immigrants coming this can adversely affect the security of Malaysia or whether it is
merely a toy played by the mass media who just intended to solely benefit just as has
been claimed by some specific parties. Through secondary research methods based on the
study of library resources, electronic media such as online journal, and also through the
study through reading newspapers related to the research topic of illegal immigration
issue, which aimed to examine the reasons that can lead to the occurrence of migration by
illegal immigrants to Malaysia and also to study the effects brought by illegal immigrants
is against the national security of Malaysia.
