Group Project Using Technology To Combat Larceny in Jamaica


Main Focus:
Determining the different larceny acts which may affect Jamaican
communities?
Identifying different ways in which these acts of Larceny could be
assessed from a technological perspective; establishing different
technologies to deal with these acts.
Aiding in the reduction of Larceny acts within communities.

Network Design Project

Constructed a network design on a City School District using


Microsoft Visio and Network Visualizer
Calculating TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) which includes the
costs for all hardware (servers, switches, routers, desktops etc.),
software (NOS, application software) and resources that are a part
of the communication infrastructure.
Designing a WAN (Wide Area Network) and segmented portions of
the LAN using the CISCO network simulator.
Configuration of Switches, Routers, Interfaces, Routing Protocols,
IP addresses and VLANs to ensure that all nodes was able to
communicate seamlessly.
