Lord, help us realize and be enlightened that beyond self interest, beyond partisan

loyalties and beyond our most compelling ideological persuasions, we must find in our
hearts to transcend even the most painful of political wounds so that we can discover
the willingness to work together for the sake of our city and of our people. Almighty
father, help us end political bickering, help us free ourselves from partisan prejudice and
most importantly help us forgive those who have inflicted upon us undeserved political
wounds. Lord, be the instrument for us to work together - united in purpose - and make
Sangguniang Panlungsod of Laoag, a true refuge of our people in their quest for a
government that can meaningfully respond to their direst yearnings for social peace and
development. This we ask, in the Lord Gods name. Amen
