Location/Venue:
We will be based at Camp Taringatura,
809 South Hillend Dipton Road, Dipton, Central Southland.
Directions:
Turn off State Highway 6 at Centre Bush
Travel West along the Hundred Line Road
Turn Right into South Hillend Dipton Road at the end of the bridge
Follow this road to number 809.
Float/Truck parking will be opposite Camp Taringatura and sign
posted
Timetable: Full day ride on Saturday and a half day ride on Sunday.
Saturday 5th Nov - 8.30 am Ride out
Sunday 6th Nov - 9.00 am Ride out
(return approx.1.30pm for lunch)
Horse Accommodation : Paddocks
Accommodation: Horse trucks, floats and tents or camp
accommodation available for $25 a night (must be stipulated on entry
form, limited numbers. Please check with Secretary availability prior
to paying registration)
Meals All meals from the breakfast on Saturday morning to lunch on
Sunday are included in the Registration Fee. Please bring along your
own cutlery/crockery/ utensils/plates/mugs/tea towel etc
You will need to bring your own deck chair and lunch box.
No food is provided on Friday night. Please bring your own. A BBQ
will be provided to cook your own meat etc.

Entertainment. A social evening will be provided on Saturday night .

Points from our Trail Boss

1. All horses must be fit and able to maintain a reasonable pace.
2. Horses need to be shod for this trek.
3. No stallions or rigs are allowed
4. All horses are to be ridden in a bridle -riding in a halter is not
acceptable.
5. Junior riders (10-15yrs) must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian and must wear a safety helmet.
6. NO SMOKING ON TREK OR IN CAMP BUILDINGS
Remember that the cavalcade and all riders are under the
control of the Trail Boss and riders must take notice of
instructions about hazards etc.

THIS FORM MUST BE READ IN FULL AND THE DECLARATION ON THE REGISTRATION
FORM SIGNED BY THE PARTICIPANT OR A PARENT/GUARDIAN. REGISTRATION WILL NOT
BE CONFIRMED WITHOUT THE DECLARATION BEING COMPLETED.
The Cavalcade is organised for the South Coast Cavalcade Society ("The Organisers"). As a condition of
your entry you are required to read and sign the following terms and conditions:

Release and indemnity of Owners and Occupiers of Land

This event is made possible by the kind permission of owners and occupiers of
farmland allowing us to use their land. I accept they have given their permission
on condition that I release and indemnify them, and I hereby release and
indemnify them, from any liability, claims, losses and damages or expenses
whatsoever including any Liability under the Health and Safety in Employment Act
I992. I further agree at all times to take all reasonable care with regard to
farmland, stock and crops.
Personal Safety
I understand that participation in the Cavalcade involves a risk of injury or death.
In entering in the Cavalcade I confirm that I am physically fit, suffer no medical
condition, disability or lack of skill which would render me unsuitable for the event.
Safety of Property
I acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my horse, equipment and other
possessions during the period of the event.
Liability
By participating in the event I expressly accept all risks personally and release the
Organisers, their servant and agents, owners and occupiers of land, sponsors and
other persons involved in the event from any liability, claims, losses, damages or
expenses caused by any event including but not limited to:

Any Personal injury or death

Any emotional or nervous disorder

Any medical condition or suffering

Any property loss or damage

Medical Treatment
I consent to receive medical treatment in the case of any injury, illness or suffering
during the activity and agree to indemnify the organisers, their servants and
agents from any liability or claims in respect of that treatment.
Refunds
I agree that I will only be entitled to refunds on the following basis:

Registration Fee less $40.00 for withdrawals before 28th October 2016.

Refunds after this date at the discretion of the Organisers.

Cancellations
The Organisers reserve the absolute right to cancel the Cavalcade as a result of
adverse conditions or any unforeseen events or circumstances. I accept that
refunds for any cancellations will be made entirely at the discretion of the
Organisers.

I agree to follow the directions of the Trail Boss or his representative and
abide by his/her directions, I also agree to attend all briefing sessions

and abide by any directions given, particularly in relation to hazards.
