Featured review about Manali

Best experience ever, Manali
"Me and my family went to Manali in Himachal Pradesh and it was the best experience ever. I saw snow for the
first time ever and we went to Rohtang Pass. It was 3 in the morning when we started our journey towards
Page 2/12

Rohtang Pass. It took about 2-3 hours to reach there and the number of cars were huge and as we were
reaching there we could see snow on the roads were the ice started to melt and we started playing with the snow
over there. It was too cold over there and we wore those suits still the cold air which was passing was felt and it
actual became difficult to inhale the air then we started walking and then reached the actual snow area over
there and it was actually not soft but hard hence we slipped a number of times again and again and it was really
fun and the weather was too good and my legs got swollen due to the wind. But the enjoyment of eating hot food
in this cold weather is heaven and the taste of the food actually increases. We played with it and did some
adventure as well and enjoyed the rides also and clicked pictures of the beautiful scenery as well and then we
were all red with the cool wind and then we reached our car and sat and then we headed towards our hotel and
remembered the fun all the way during that time period and the temperature must have been 6-7 degree Celsius
and my residence is Mumbai and hence to experience such low temperature was very good. Hence overall
experience in Manali was the best and will be thrilled to once again to visit that place in the coming years. It is
definitely one place to visit before you die." - Shraddha Parmar , Mumbai, 1 month ago

Fun filled & memorable trip-Manali

"I have visited Manali in January 2014. I have been on this trip with my friends. I was really very amazed to see
there are such beautiful places in Indian. Manali is now one of my favourite destinations to visit. Few tips if you
are planning your trip.
1)It is said the best time to visit Manali is between March-September, but I would recommended & prefer to visit
during off season which is from Dec-Feb. This will help you to get cheap deals, less crowd & also you can
experience the snow fall if you are lucky.
2) When you plan a trip do not include meal in you plan instead ask you travel agent for EP plan which includes
breakfast & stay. This will help in lowering your budget & also you can experience local cuisine in dhabas.
3) Go for budgeted room for accommodation if you are planning your trip with friends. This will help in cost
cutting. These rooms are also decent & specious so you need not worry about.
4) If you still wanna go for good room's book a 2 or 3 star properties. Here you will get better rooms by just
spending from hundred of rupees.
In Manali we have visited mostly all the tourist location but what fascinated us was the food and the market of
Manali. If you are planning a trip to Manali plan you trip between December very crowded during the peak
season and all the charm of it is lost. We stayed in Quality Inn River Country Resort. They have good room &
even they have cottages if you are going along with your friends & want to party hard. Hunt for accommodation
somewhere near the main market. There are many hotels which are low on budget & the property is also good &
specious.
If you go further in the market you come across small hotels which serve really awesome food. You will find
variety of food in veg & non veg & also not to forget sweets. There are some good things to shop like the
footwear made of jute, traditional jackets & saffron. It's a very cool place in the laps of Himalayan range along
the river side. The winters & snow fall in Manali is worth spending & if you can arrange bonfire than it will make
you holiday worthwhile. It's is highly recommended for family and friends preferably during winters.
Enjoy you holiday." - Urvesh Bhatt, Mumbai, 2 months ago

Tranced in Manali
"Which could be that one destination which one would want to rush to friends for an absolutely amazing and
intoxicating experience? Yes, guessed it right.. Manali! Manali has it all. Mountains, beautiful weather, mouthPage 4/12

watering delicacies, hypnotising views and an uber cool old Manali make up for the perfect getaway with friends.
The reason I reiterate with friends is because one cannot really hope to make the most out of it with parent by
their side. This should be your to-do in Manali-roam, eat, sleep and repeat. This place has an unusual high
which gulps you as soon as you enter old Manali. I wont even try to narrate the magic of Manali since words are
incapable of that. Witness to believe." - Shubhanjana Das, , 2 months ago

Great Mountains with adventure all along

"A beautiful place, cold pleasant climate, lots of places to visit, rohtang pass, vashisht hot water springs,
hadimba temple etc. Gateway to Leh ladakh through Rohtang pass. On the way in solang valley you can do
variety of adventure sports like paragliding, zorbing etc which is amazing experience for life.
Can easily take Bikes on rent to go upto Rohtang pass about 51 Kms which shall be a wonderful experience for
bikers. In the evening, after all roaming & travelling, can forget all your tiredness by having a hot water bath in
Vashishth hot water sulphur springs. Shopping can be done in Mall Road." - Sakshi Gupta, Nagpur, 2 months
