lets see this powerpoint slides.
We said that adjectives describe
persons, places, things, animals and
events. That is right! So, in short,
adjectives describes or modifies NOUNS.
Lets take a look at these examples

Colorful

sour (vinegar)

rough (rock)

Sweet (chocolate)
loud (rock music)

(Pupils will read the following words)

They are called adjectives!

Persons, places, animals and events

Adjectives are words that describe or modify
persons, places, things, animals and events.

Busy is the adjective in the sentence.

Shoppers

sale.
Lets see another example.
Example 2: (Adjective describing animal)
The brave dog barks the strangers.
What is the adjective in the sentence
Smart answer!
What does the adjective busy
describe?
The adjective brave describes what
kind of of dog barks the stranger.
Aside from adjectives describing nouns,
adjectives also answers the questions
WHAT KIND, WHICH ONE and HOW
MANY.
Weve seen an example answering the
question what kind. Heres an example
of answering the question how many.
Example: Thousands of houses were
destroyed during the typhoon Yolanda.
How many houses were destroyed
during the typhoon Yolanda?
Therefore, thousands is an adjective in
the sentence. Hence, it answers the
question how many.
Last example.
Example: My cousin gave that yellow
bag to me.
Which bag did your cousin give to
you?
Therefore, yellow is the adjective and is
answerable by the question which one.
Do you have any questions in
adjectives?
C. Application
1. Show a picture of ice cream
Can you name this picture?
Who likes ice cream here?
Im sure everyone loves to eat ice
cream.
2. Post the picture on the blackboard
I have here set of words that describe
this ice cream. For our short activity, I
will be calling five of you to arrange the
jumbled letters to form the correct
word/adjective.
Is everything clear?

Popcorn adjectives
For our last activity, I have here a
popcorn but inside this are pictures and
set of words. You will be passing this
popcorn around while there is a music
playing. If the music stops, the last
person holding the popcorn will
randomly pick a paper inside. Take note
that he/she must not be looking inside
the popcorn while picking. Here are the
two rules: If you picked a picture, just
give an adjective describing the picture.
But if you picked a word, just use it in a
sentence.
Did I make myself clear?
(activity will start)

Yes, teacher
Pupil 1 picked a picture of hamburger: tasty
Pupil 2 picked the word dirty: The ball is dirty.

Give yourselves five claps for your
