Scripture Lessons:
Old Testament: Text: 2 King 7:1-20
New Testament:

Pass me not, O gentle Savior, Hear my

humble cry; while on others thou art
calling Do not pass me by.
Let me at thy throne of mercy Find a
sweet relief; kneeling there in deep
contrition, Help my un belief.
Trusting only in thy merit, Would I seek
thy face; Heal my wounded, broken
spirit, Save me by thy grace.
Thou the spring of all my comfort, More
than life to me, whom have I on earth
beside thee? Whom in heavn but thee?

REF: Savior, Savior, Hear my humble

cry; while on others thou art calling
Do not pass me by.

Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross

Jesus, keep me near the cross, There a
pre-cious foun-tain, Free to all, a healing stream, Flows from Cal-vrys mountain .
Near the Cross, a trem-bling soul, Love
and mer-cy found me; there the Bright
and Morni-ing Star Shed his beams around me.
Near the cross! O Lamb of God, Bring its
scenes be-fore me; Help me walk from
day to day with its shad-ow Oer me.
Near the cross! I ll watch and wait,
Hoping, trusti-ing ever, Till I reach the
gold-en strand, Just be-yond the riv-er.
REF: In the cross, in the cross Be my
glo-ry ev-er, Till my ran-somed soul
shall find Rest be-yond the river.

RESPONSIVE READING
Lord, thou has been our dwelling place in all
generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and
the world, even from everlasting to
everlasting, thou art God.
A thousand years in thy sight are but as
yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the
night.
The days of our years are threescore years
and ten; and if by reason of strength they
be fourscore years, yet is their strength
labor and sorrow, for it is soon cut off, and
we fly away.
So teach us to number our days, that we may
apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and
the glory unto their children. And let the
beauty of the Lord our god be upon us.
