World History: The First World War
Submitted By:
World War I forever changed the face of warfare. New technology yielded millions
of casualties. The conditions in the trenches created untold hardships on the men
who had to endure them. People on the home front were subjected to shortages and
hardships as the emergence of Total War infiltrated all aspects of their lives.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, a student should be able to:
1. identify the causes, the immediate circumstances that led to World War
I and all their consequences;
2. utilize varied sources to develop a cohesive, comprehensive and
historically accurate picture of the World War I era;
3. determine what moral lessons can be learned from World War I.
