INTRODUCCION
Este mtodo se refiere al sistema de minera en masa, en el que la extraccin
depende de la gravedad.
Removiendo una delgada rebanada horizontal en la base del bloque,
bloque el
soporte vertical de la columna de mineral se elimina y el mineral contina
rompiendo y hundiendo por gravedad.
A medida que se extrae el mineral por el nivel de minado, el mineral que est
encima sigue con el proceso de ruptura y hundiendo por
ggravedad.
Actualmente, el trmino de hundimiento por bloques se usa para todo tipo de
minera, que utilice el hundimiento por gravedad, aunque este no se realice
por bloques rectangulares.

Se obtiene alta productividad, de 15 a 50 t/(hombreturno)
El costo de produccin es bajo, casi como la de tajo abierto
Una vez que el hundimiento empieza, se consigue una
produccin elevada.
Se pueden normalizar las condiciones, aumentando la
seguridad y la eficacia del trabajo
La dilucin es de 10 a 20%
La recuperacin puede alcanzar 100%
La frecuencia de accidentes es claramente baja
