The method of solving the
quadratic equation x2=k is called
EXTRACTING SQUARE
ROOTS. This lesson is very easy
and simple. You just need to get
the square root of the given

Find the solution and
equation of (x-4)2-25=0
(x-4)2-25=0 transpose -25
(x-4)2=25 x-4= 25
x-4= 5
Now, solve for x in the
equation x-4= 5
x-4= 5 transpose -4
To find the roots:
x=5+4 why the sign are
gone? Since the sign is , it
Solve for g=0
Since g is = to 0, then it has
only one solution.
That is, g=0
Remember:
The formula in order to extract
the square roots is x2=k where k
is the constant term.
