this is when the ocean is at its coolest.

can be found.
6. The warm temperature is very important in the formation of high pressure areas which is the
starting point of typhoons.
7. According to PAGASA, a yearly average of about 20 tropical hurricanes enter the Philippine
Area of Responsibility.

In what direction did the tropical cyclones move?
Which part of the Philippines was hit by the tropical cyclones?
Where did the typhoon diminish - near land or in the middle of the ocean?
Is there a chance that the typhoon went outside the PAR? Why do you think it happen?

CONSTRUCTED RESPONSE. Answer in not less than five sentences the following questions. (8
points)
1. Relate a real life experience that is comparable to you being in the eye of the storm. Explain
your answer briefly.
2. Mindanao rarely gets hit by typhoons, since the island is too close to the equator. Unfortunately,
last December 2012 Mindanao was hit by typhoon Sendong whose heavy rains swept away
villages. What are the possible factors that contributed to the strength of this typhoon? Explain
briefly.
