PROPOSITION: THBT student leaders should be granted discount on tuition fee

Definition of terms:
DEFINITION OF TERMS:
Student leaders - A student leader is typically an elementary, middle, high school,
or college student who serves in a leadership position in their school or on their
campus.
Granted - agree to give or allow (something requested) to.
Discount - a deduction from the usual cost of something, typically given for prompt
or advance payment or to a special category of buyers.
Tuition fee - the charge or fee for instruction, as at a private school or a college or
university:
Miscellaneous fee costs of a lower monetary value that are grouped together on
a balance sheet.
Supreme organization the Supreme Student Organization(SSC)
Major Organization An organization representing one of any four Departments
of University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao, namely School of Health and Allied
Sciences(SHAS), School of Education Arts and Sciences(SEAS), School of
Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, and Information Technology
Education(SEADITE), and lastly, the School of Administration, Business and
Hospitality(SABH)
Minor Organization Any organization, other than the supreme and major
organizations, granted by the Dean of Students Affairs (DSA) accreditation for a
certain period of time.
Key positions the range of positions that are essential to the operation of an
organization which encompasses the President, down to the Auditor.
PARAMETERS:
for the purpose of this debate,
miscellaneous fee will be included on the fees that may be discounted.
Limited to USL
Limit the scope to the organizations accredited by the DSA, which ultimately limits
the organizations to college level only. Meaning, elementary, high school and
senior high school, are excluded.

The remaining officers of the SSC shall receive 50% discount from the
miscellaneous fee.

DISCOUNT: 50% on miscellaneous fee = P1807.17 on 1 sem
2 sems = P3,614.34
18 student leaders will avail a 50% misc fee discount. = P 65,058.12
All the other remaining officers of key positions of all the remaining organizations
sanctioned by the DSA.
DISCOUNT: 25% on misc. fee = P 903.59
198 student leaders will avail 25% misc fee discount = P 178,910.82
All the other student leaders other than the key positions:
DISCOUNT: 10% on misc. fee = P361.43
454 student leaders will avail 10% misc fee discount = P 164,089.22
TOTAL: P408,058.16
FUNDS:
5000 students.
P408,058.16/5000= P 81.61
P40.80 will be shouldered each by students, and the administration.
Students- will be added to the miscellaneous fees
