I believe the Jews would have looked to

this for hope, as it tells them not to be
afraid, because God is always with
them. It also tells them God will help
them, and give them strength, as he
will support them.

I believe this quote would have helped the

Jews carry on, and be hopeful, as it tells
them that God is their 'escape', if they
believed in God, he would help them.

The Holocaust.
The Holocaust was an event happening in the 20th century- 1933 and 1945. It
began with discrimination of Jews, who were separated from their communities
and mistreated; and finally they were treated as lesser than human beings and
murdered. During the Second World War, Nazis sought to murder the entire Jewish
population of Europe and destroy its culture. In 1941 there were about 11 million
Jews living in Europe and by May 1945 the Nazis had murdered six million of them,
one and a half million being children. By 1945 nearly 2 in 3 European Jews were
killed.
11 million people were killed during the Holocaust , and it wasn't just Jews who
were, other groups targeted by the Nazis were Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals,
disabled people, and Roma.
The Nazis made a plan called the final solution which was a plan to send every
single Jew to a 'death camp' which would work them till their last day.

I have photoshopped this image and I made it

to show many different aspects of the

holocaust:.
The Star of David is behind Hitlers back, as even
though he was forcing them to change, the Jews
still held onto faith. On the right side of Hitler it
shows all the Jews in the concentration camps,
determined to survive, and on the left, it shows a
pile of Jews, who strove till the end, still keeping
their faith in God.

said 'those who do not remember the
past are condemned to repeat it'.
Is why it is important to remember the
Holocaust. As well as this, it is important
to remember the past survivors of the
Holocaust. And it is important listen to
these survivors so future generations
never forget about this horrific act. I also
think we should remember this out of
respect for the victims. They had to suffer,
endure pain and loss of family- no human
should have to go through this, so it is
important to remember. The holocaust
was a tragedy that affected the world- not
just Jews. And that is why I believe it is
important to remember the Holocaust.
