BCAWE HOLDS STANCE AGAINST ANY SATANIC ACTIVITIES
June 16, 2016 Bangladesh-Canada Association, Windsor-Essex (BCAWE) has been attracted by recent news released in few local, national, and international media about a Bangladeshi Canadian Windsor resident who has involvement with Daesh (ISIS). BCAWE likes to release this note to show up its strong stance against any satanic activities. In fact, BCAWE was completely unknown about this news. However, it has gone through some possible investigation within its scope although not anything more than what is already published in media. BCAWE is seriously worried and concerned about such activities. Bangladesh is a moderate Muslim country but the recent inhuman individual killings that are happening back there is completely undesirable and unacceptable regardless of any race, religion, or faith. BCAWE hates and condemns those killings and takes strong stance against such activities. BCAWE is a non-profit registered organization of the Bangladeshi-Canadian mainly focusing on multicultural exchange among different ethnic groups living in Windsor-Essex for building up a better peaceful society (so as the Bangladesh Peace Clock) through so many social activities. It has strong bond with local government, honorable local MPs, City Mayor, Ward Councillors, and local political leaders who always enjoy our programs and have strong support for us. BCAWE use to launch several year-round programs such as; New Year celebration, International Mothers Language and Independent day, Bengali New Year (Boishakhi program), Ifter party in the holy month of Ramadan, Eid reunion, fund raising for distressed people in home and abroad, and some other socio-cultural activities, but we have never seen this Tamim Chowdhury joining these programs. Our investigation shows he was a brilliant student who completed his High School and University education in Windsor, always did well in his class and received few awards. He always showed himself a religious, very quiet, peaceful and intelligent person with hidden character. He was completely unknown, invisible, and out of the scene to BCAWE. In this respect our message is very clear; we are worried, shocked, and dishonored for such hateful involvement of Mr. Chowdhury with Daesh (ISIS). BCAWE condemns and censures such activities, always holds stance against such satanic activities, and like to uphold a social environment with peace and harmony with all groups of people in the society.
