Planning document for the module Performing Arts which formed part of the Masters of Arts
Management at the Open University of Catalonia. We had to develop an annual event on a topic
we decided and develop the following elements:

SHOWS

Acrobatics / Circus - Belgium
Length: 40 min
Performers: Thomas Dechaufour, Tain Molendijk, Richard Fox and Jasper DHondt
A poetic performance based on the power of the body and in the wildest side of the circus, with a
simple aesthetic, giving more importance to the actions than the surroundings.

Eia - inTarsi
Acrobatics / Circus - Spain
Length: 60 min
Performers: Armando Rabanera Muro, Fabio Nicolini, Fabrizio Giannini, Manel Ross Moret
A wonderful example of acrobatic show with elements typical of Italian circus. The four characters
find themselves in a moment of change that is shown throughout the performance.

DClick - LAvant - Premire


Circus / Dance - Spain
Length: 45 min
Performers: Ana Castrillo and Hugo Gauthier
A classic and comedic dance performance, that leaves the circus behind, putting the focus on the
relationship between the two characters in this show for all audiences.

Circus / Dance - France
Length: 75 min
Performers: Alexandre Fournier and Matias Pilet
A good example of how circus and dance hold hands in a show that not only has a solid plot and
uses technology to bring the classic art of circus closer to the modern day.

Stopgap Dance Company - Artificial Things


Theatre / Dance- United Kingdom
Length: 90 min including a 20 min interval
Performers: David Toole, Laura Jones, Chris Pavia, David Willdridge and Amy Butler.
Not just for its carefully worked staging Stopgap Dance Company is also famous for integrating
artists with disabilities into all of their pieces, creating a prejudice-free universe where, through
dance and theatre, there are no limits.

La Bella Tour - La Bella Tour


Clowns - Spain
Length: 50 min
Performers: Roi Borrallas, Guillermo Aranzana
What would the world of circus be without clowns? This company will entertain you with the world
famous clown pairing: the sad and depressive clown and the maniac and happy one. The
interactions between these two create a show for all audiences that reminds us of the golden age
of the classic circus.

Periplum - Imaginarium
Installation - United Kingdom
Length: 20 min per visitor, up to 50 visitors per hour
Alice in Worderland is, without a doubt, a reference to the actual circus aesthetic. Imaginarium
allows us to visit this world through an immersive installation.

Tombs Creatius - Lestrany viatge del Sr. Tonet


Installation - Spain
Length: 3-6 hours
A group of inventions that will transport youngsters to an absurd universe made out of wood,
sounds and fun.

PLANNING
The Museum will pay for the transport but not the accommodation of the companies that it hires.
For the purpose of this essay, the flights dates are the 12th and 18th of July of 20161 and with the
following departures:

Barcelona - Buenos Aires for the companies from Spain (1,402)


London - Buenos Aires for the companies from the United Kingdom(968)
Brussels - Buenos Aires for the companies from Belgium and France (860)

Contracting simultaneous interpreters for the translation of the shows in the case of Artificial
Things and Acrobates through projected translation and also for the communication of the artists
and technicians with museum staff throughout the assembly and disassembly of the acts in the
museum (4 days x 8 hours x 197.472).

Accessibility to changing rooms, water, coffee, tea, soft drinks, fruit and local produce before and
after the shows.

Other tasks to take into account depending on the company are:

and commercial licence number __________. Hereinafter referred to as the THE EMPLOYER"
And Mr. Callum Graham, acting businessman Passport ____________ and commercial premises
in Bridge Square, Farnham GU9 7QR-United Kingdom on behalf of the Company known artistically
as StopGap Dance Company and in hereinafter called the THE COMPANY".
AGREE:
1. that THE EMPLOYER hires the company for the representation of the Work "Artificial Things"
to be held on 15 July 2016 at 18:00 at the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires.
2. that THE EMPLOYER will provide the lighting and sound materials necessary for the company
to perform the work "Artificial Things". The show data sheet is attached as addendum to this
contract.
3. that THE EMPLOYER shall pay the amount of 2,000.00 plus 18% VAT 360.00
resulting in a total amount of 2,360.00 for the representation of the show indicated in 1.
4. that THE EMPLOYER will not be responsible for the COMPANYS accommodation.
5. that THE COMPANY will send an invoice in advance to THE EMPLOYER in order to be receive
remuneration per cheque in the name of CALLUM GRAHAM, once the above named show has
been performed.
6. that in the instance that the show cannot be performed through reasons outside of THE
COMPANYS control, or through acts of God, THE EMPLOYER will recognise the validity of the
invoice, so long as THE EMPLOYER has made no changes or notifications of changes within the
72 hours prior the departure of THE COMPANY.
7. that in the event of breach of this agreement, both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts
that apply, waiving their own jurisdiction.

TECHNICAL SPECS STOPGAP


STAGE DIMENSIONS 10m x 10m
SET: A cross over either behind the stage or created using a full black cloth
HUMAN RESOURCES: Two technicians for the assembly and disassembly of the set.
Space specs: A clear path from the dressing rooms to the stage that is step free and accessible
for wheelchair performers (a clear door width of 25 inches).
The space to be warm (at least 20 Degrees Celsius)

Own lighting equipment.
Requirements from the venue: Stereo left and right from your mixing desk to your Main Front Of
