Statement of Purpose: This instruction will enable a teacher to create an Edmodo page to use with students in a classroom.
Needs Analysis: (Brown & Green, 2011)

d. How do you collect assignments from your online and offline students?
e. How do you know when the assignments were turned in?

Dr. Melvin Hawthorn is 53 years old college professor with a PhD. He has basic understands of a computer and knows how to download and install
software from the Internet. He has access to High-Speed Internet at home. Dr. Hawthorn is willing volunteer and is eager to learn new software to
assist him in grading and commenting on assignments from his online Education Class at Roanoke College. He does not have any special needs,
except for a slight visual impairment that makes it difficult to read small print. He is an easy going guy who has had many friends and family
members tell him that he is extremely attractive and would make a great catch.
V: Objectives
1. Teachers will go to Edmodo.com
1a. Teachers will click on Im a Teacher link.
1b. Teachers will type in an username and password.
1c. Teachers will type in their email address, first name, and last name.
1d. Teachers will click on the sign-up button.
2. Teachers will create assignments
2a. Teachers will create an assignment space by entering all the required information, including title, short description, and due date.
2b. Teachers will continue to create at least 6 new assignment spaces for each assignment in their class.
2c. Teachers will add at least 2 discussion assignments for their class.
3. The teachers will email directions to their student to join the class.
3a. Teachers will send an email to all students in their class with the group code.
3b. Teachers will include in the email that students will click on Im a Student to create a student account.
3c. Teachers will also need to include in the email to their class group code.
3d. Teachers will instruct, in the email, to enter the rest of the required information to create a student account.
4. Teachers will add announcements to their course
4a. Teachers will create at least one announcement in their Edmodo course for their students.
4b. Teachers will select the course to send the announcement too.
4c. Teachers will send the announcement.

Click on Im a Teacher link on Edmodo.com to create a teacher account.


Create an username and password for an Edmodo.com teacher account.
Continue to fill in information to create an account, type in email address, first name, and last name.
Click on the sign-up button.
Create an assignment by entering all the required information, including title, short description, and due date into the course on Edmodo.
Create at least 6 new assignments in the new Edmodo class.
Create at least 2 discussion assignments in the new Edmodo class.
Email directions to all students to join the new online Edmodo class.

9. Email all students the group code for the Edmodo class.
10. Include in the email to the students to click on Im a Student to create a student account.
11. Instruct, in the email, the student to enter the rest of the required information to create a student account.
12. Create at least one announcement in the Edmodo course.
13. Select the course to send the announcement too.
14. Post the announcement.
