THE RIGHT TREE FOR THE RIGHT PLACE

Choosing a tree for your yard should be done carefully. Make sure that you choose a tree for the right
purposes, and that you choose the right tree for the right place.

Be sure to Avoid Tree & Utility Conflicts

To plant the Right Tree in the Right Place

Consider the full- grown size and placement existing trees, including any on your neighbors
property

Avoid planting trees where they will invade pipes and underground utilities. Call before you dig
to find out where they are

Make sure you have enough space away from power lines for the size tree you are planting

Use small trees like these under power lines.

Avoid planting trees where they will interfere with your roof or awnings in the future.

Place trees on the south and west sides of the house for maximum benefit from shade
