RESEARCH PAPER
Choose one of these options (NOTE: all papers are run through TURNITIN)
In groups, as posted, and based on what you learn in this course and the reading material
you are assigned, Research any of the following issues, problems or topics:

1. Engineering Ethics in the UAE Market Place. (You may visit and meet with engineers
around town to get their feedback and opinions)
2. Find a case that was published in any UAE or GCC newspaper and discuss it. Case from
outside the UAE or the GCC are not accepted.
3. Read five codes of ethics and compare them to each others.
4. Discuss the ethical problems junior engineers face once they move to the market place
after graduation.
5. Discuss the ethical problems women engineers face at the work place
6. Discuss the relationship between engineering ethics and the bid preparation process
7. Discuss the role of Islamic Shariah in forming Engineering Ethics
8. Discuss the relationship between engineering ethics and project cost
9. Discuss the relationship between engineering ethics and project safety
10. Discuss the strategies for encouraging ethical behavior by engineers
Format:

1. Write 3500 words Arial 10pts

2. 1.5 line spacing
3. 1.5" Top and bottom margins
4. 1" left and right margins
5. Check your work for spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and editorial problems.

6. Add pictures, exhibits, tables as needed to clarify your work

7. Put figure titles with numbers under each figure
8. Put table titles with numbers on top of tables
9. Must have a cover page with your name, course, professor's name, date, university,
title of research

14. there must be a summary and conclusion section
15. must have a reference section and must follow one style of referencing like APA or
MLA
