Last week we looked at Spiritual Paradoxes, and one of them is found within the
decree of the Purification Ceremony and the sacrifice of the red heifer.
Everything that is connected to the red heifer is a prophetic picture of Messiah
that will take us through a cleansing process, called the Wilderness experience.
This gives us insight into the times we will face in the wilderness that might not
be pleasant, but ultimately allow us to enter the House of the Father and drink
the wine at the Marriage Feast as the Bride of Messiah. This week we look at
an enemy that is an advisor to other enemies so that we can move out from
under the blessings and protection of YHVH, and be cursed. This enemy is a
family member, that came into being as a result of your sins and the sins of
your fathers.

The Eye and Agenda of the Enemy

Num_22:2-4 And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to
the Amorites. (3) And Moab was much afraid of the people because they
were many. And Moab was distressed because of the sons of Israel. 4 And
Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time. 5 Then he
sent messengers to Balaam the son of Beor at Pethor, which is near the
River in the land of the sons of his people.
There is so much we can learn from this verse by just looking at the meanings
of all the names. This will give us insight into the hidden things found within all
these characters and people, who stood against Israel in the Wilderness.
We start off with the first name Balak, which is the name of this Torah Portion
as well. Balak -qlb - means to annihilate and to make waste. Balak was a
Moabitish king who was afraid of Israel and sought help from Balaam, an
oracle, to overcome their common enemy.

Zippor -rvpo Zippor was the father of Balak that means, bird; sparrow;
crown; desert. We see the same letters we looked at last week when we
compared the red heifer cleansing ceremony with the cleansing of the leper.

1
Within this ceremony, a bird or tsippor rpo was used. When you remove the
tzadik, that means righteous and to cleanse yourself, the word par remains
that means heifer. The only difference is that this name has a vav inserted
that makes this bird different to the bird of the cleansing ceremony. It is as if
the vav or man interfered or infiltrated that changed the cleansing ritual to
something else that will result in a different outcome, that is related to an enemy
called Balak.
Spiritual Insight: If you add or remove from YHVHs Word or tamper with it
through the interference of mans ways or traditions, you create someone or
something down the line that will become the enemy of YHVHs people,
someone like Balak, who wanted to annihilate YHVHs people.
Balaam ,ilb that means the ancient one of the people, the destruction of the
people, and not of the people. His name consists of two parts, "bal" -lb that
means mind, heart, lord, not. The second part of his name is "am" ,i that
means nation or people. Balaam represents someone who can infiltrate and
influence a nation by turning their hearts and minds against YHVH. This
makes him a powerful enemy that not only influence individuals but nations.

Beor Balaam was the son of Beor rvib that means a lamp; the name of the
father of an Edomitish king. The meaning of this name imply that Balaam
represents the Edomitish king because Beor means the father of the Edomitish
king. Balak, the Moabite King, went to Balaam, representing an Edomitish
king, to come up with an evil plan to destroy Israel. The Edomites are the
descendants of Esau, the one who promised to kill Jacob or Israel after
their fathers death. The Moabites are the descendants of Lot and this
shows us the origins of the joining forces that were at work to destroy
Israel. They were related but became enemies because of sin and
rebellion against YHVH.

Beor can be broken up into two parts, bet b and oor rvi. Bet
means house and oor rvi means naked, to open ones eyes, to awake, skin
and chaff. This sounds like the word ore rva that means light that represents
truth or revelation. If the Aleph a or YHVH is replaced by the ayin i or eye,
that changes the meaning from truth and revelation to nakedness and skin
or flesh. Bet b represents house, and this gives the full meaning of Beors
name ashouse of nakedness or house of fleshiness. This is in strong
contrast to the House of Truth which is the House of YHVH.

Balaam was not a Prophet from the House of YHVH, a but a Prophet
from the House of the eye i that is the house of the flesh that results
in nakedness or sin. The Aleph show that revelation comes from YHVH and
the Ayin or eye means revelation originates from the eye of Lucifer, as
depicted in the eye of Horus. This eye allowed Balaam to see into the spiritual
realm and reveal its mysteries. This gave him the status as prophet, oracle or
seer.

2
Pethor rvtp is the place the messengers met Balaam, and consists of two
parts peth tp that means to open, secret, and tor rvt that is the root
word for Torah. This is related to the mysteries of the Torah that will be opened
so that its secrets can be revealed.
There are two ways to do this; the one is through YHVHs Spirit, which
is the right way and the other is through the eye of Satan that reveals
the Secrets of the Occult from the Torah, that is found on the dark side
of Kabbalah. Kabbalah is the ancient Jewish tradition of mystical
interpretation of the Torah. Kabbalah is based on a series of books,
that are called the Zohar that consists of 4 to 6 volumes. There is
wisdom within the Zohar but there is information about the spiritual that
is used for occultic purposes. The Zohar was not translated into
English until the late 1800s and was used by Occult authors like Eliphas Levi,
the author who led the Occult Revival of the 1800s, that revived Satanism and
Luciferianism. There were several others like Blavatsky, who came from an
occult family who wrote many books about the occult. She believed that the
Jews had stolen books of black magic, like the Zohar, that had previously come
from the Chaldeans. These are some of the people who used the Zohars
information within the occult and Believers in Messiah should maintain a high
vigilance against being deceived.
We see the spirit of Balaam working within our Jewish Brothers through
the influence of the Zohar and the Talmud, but that same spirit is
working within our Christian brothers as well. Numerous Christian
denominations are either founded or influenced by Freemasonry that
infiltrated the leadership and the establishments that train its Pastors.
Freemasons have the all seeing eye as part of their symbolism, which is
none other than the eye of Satan that we uncovered in the name of
Behor, the father of Balaam, that gave him his abilities and power.

The Plot to Curse and Destroy Israel

Num 22:5-6 Look, a people has come from Egypt. See, they cover the
face of the earth, and are settling next to me! 6 Therefore please come at
once, curse this person for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I
shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know
that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.
Moab was disgusted without reason and now wants to destroy Israel without a
cause. The Midianites and Moabites were enemies for a long time, but when
they came across an old relative, they joined forces against Israel. Balaam had
a reputation of speaking blessings and curses that came true and that is why
Balak came to him.
Q Who was Balaam really?
Num 22:8-12 And he said to them, Lodge here tonight, and I will bring
back word to you, as YHVH speaks to me. So the princes of Moab stayed
with Balaam. 9 Then God came to Balaam and said, Who are these men
with you? 10 So Balaam said to Elohim, Balak the son of Zippor, king of
Moab, has sent to me, saying, 11 Look, a people has come out of Egypt,
and they cover the face of the earth. Come now, curse them for me;

3
perhaps I shall be able to overpower them and drive them out. 12 And
Elohim said to Balaam, You shall not go with them; you shall not curse
the people, for they are blessed.
One possibility is that Balaam was a Council member that sat in the presence
of YHVH. You have to understand the concept of the Council of YHVH that
existed before Lucifer fell to understand this possibility and that made it possible
to discuss Israel with YHVH. The council members are called Elohim, and when
the rebellion came, Lucifer, one of the council members, together with other
council members rebelled against YHVH and took with them a third of the
Angels. These council members still have access to YHVH, and they still
consult with Him over matters regarding people they are leading. One example
of this is mentioned in Dan 10:13, the Prince of Persia, who is as a god to the
people and part of the principalities and powers in the heavens. They are rulers
over nations within certain areas.
Balaam fits this profile since his name means
ancient on of the people and he was an oracle,
someone who could see in the spirit who used
enchantments or nachash that also means
serpent, implying that his power was from an
opposing force contrary to YHVH, similar to the
rebellious council members. That gave him the
appearance of a Prophet to man, but his insight
came from these principalities and could speak
openly to YHVH as one of the Elohim or council
members regarding the fate of YHVHs people. One of the things that confirm
this idea is the fact that his father, Behor, means father of an Edomitish king
that implies that Balaam was a king or prince. This is similar to what Lucifer
is doing when he goes to the presence of YHVH and speak as a council
member, accusing the people of YHVH.
The other possibility was that Balaam was a prophet of one of these rebellious
Princes that had access to YHVHs throne as a council member. A
spokesperson for the rebellious principality and power so to speak.
YHVH asked Balaam, who are these men with you? Remember, whenever
YHVH asks a question, it is not because He does not know the answer, it is to
see if the person knows the answer. He wanted Balaam to ask himself whom he
associated with and what the purpose of his connection with them was all
about. YHVH also highlights the fact that two enemies of Israel, representatives
of Edom and Moab, come to YHVH, the God of their enemy, to curse them. This
sound ridiculous. The fact is that Balaam had to ask permission to curse
YHVHs people because he had no right to do so, he is only an accuser, not a
representative or member of the House of Israel.
Spiritual Insight: When you become part of the Family of YHVH, not Satan
or any other Principality or Power has a right to say or do anything against
you or YHVHs people unless YHVH allows it and give them permission. If
you feel that you are under the attack of Satan, then it is YHVH allowing the
attack against you, and you should know that He is still in control. Remember
the analogy of the sheepdog; YHVH uses Satan to bite the heels of His
sheep to gather and lead them back to Him.

4
YHVH forbid Balaam to curse Israel because they
were walking in His ways and that caused them to be
blessed. It is as if Israel was in a blessed mode or
under the protective covering that is part of being
blessed, where no evil could come against them. This
idea is found in Psalm 91 as well:
Ps 91:5-10 His Truth shall be your shield and
buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by
night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of
the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays
waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand
at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes
shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have
made YHVH, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

Spiritual Insight: The phrase destruction that lays waste is the meaning of
the name Balak that means to annihilate and to make waste, as well as
the name Balaam, that means destruction of the people. This means that it
is the spirit of Balaam and Balak, that are the destroyers and accusers of
YHVHs people and the covering or protection against these forces is the
Truth of YHVH. Israel was not neutral and open for blessings or curses;
they were in a covering and protection while in the mode of being blessed,
that protected them from any evil that might come from the evil forces that
joined their power.
The key to having this layer of protection that makes you blessed, is the Truth
of YHVH that is found in His Torah as revealed by His Spirit or by people who
operate under the anointing of His Spirit.
Balak paid Balaam to curse Israel but round #1 was unsuccessful, Israel was
still standing. Balak then upped the ante and offered more money to Balaam so
that he can curse Israel.
Num 22:18-21 Then Balaam answered and said to the servants of
Balak, Though Balak was to give me his house full of silver and gold, I
could not go beyond the word of the YHVH MY ELOHIM, to do less or
more. 19 Now therefore, please, you also stay here tonight, that I may
know what more YHVH will say to me. 20 And Elohim came to Balaam
at night and said to him, If the men come to call you, rise and go with
them; but only the word which I speak to youthat you shall do. 21 So
Balaam rose in the morning, saddled his donkey, and went with the
princes of Moab.
Balaam called YHVH his Elohim of God, even being an Edomite. This again
causes confusion if you do not understand the Council of YHVH and that
Balaam had access to YHVH regarding spiritual matters in the world. He was
still under the authority of YHVH, even being a rebel like Lucifer that wants to
destroy YHVHs people as seen in his name and character. YHVH commanded
him only to speak the words YHVH will give him.

5
Sins of the Fathers & Storms in your Life
It says in verse 3 that Moab was dressed because of Israel, but in Hebrew, it is
directly translated as being disgusted in the face of Israel. It should rather
have been Israel that was disgusted by Moab because of their origins. The
Moabites are cousins or the Israelites because Lot was Abrahams nephew and
the father of the Moabites that came into being through sin rooted in sexual
immorality. Two things happened in Lots life that makes his descendants carry
the roots of Lots sin. The first was where Lot had a dispute with Abraham, and
he decided to live in the area of Sodom and Gomorrah, the pinnacle of sexual
immorality. The second event was when one of his daughters became pregnant
with her father, Lot, because of her being intoxicated by the customs of Sodom
where she grew up. She called the name of her son Moab that means from
the father because of her incestuous relationship with her father.
Spiritual insight: The sins of the fathers will feature through your bloodline
and manifest in their generations to come. It is paramount to deal with
bloodline curses because of this spiritual insight where the curse will transfer
through the generations until it is dealt with. These sins will feature in future
descendants and be the driving force behind similar sins of the fathers.
The Moabites became the enemies of Israel, and the sin of Lot manifested in
the future where they wanted to destroy the nation of Israel.
Spiritual Insight: Any sin that you do not deal with will become a future
enemy that will haunt you and ultimately want to
destroy you. These are the enemies we deal with in
the Wilderness that came into being because of our
own sin or the sins of our fathers. The other reality you
will face is that you might be forgiven, but there are still
consequences that will return in cycles to challenge
you. It is like being in a boat; that is Yshua, but the
waters and the wind are dependent on your past sins
and consequences, and the intensity of the storm
depends on the decisions you made during the previous storm. These cycles
of storms come and go, and you have to ask YHVH, when the storm is
present, what decisions you have to make and what actions you have to
take, that will have a calming effect on the next storm that is coming. These
consequences of your sins are like ripples that hit you over time, throughout
your life and are there to refine you and bring you closer to YHVH. The more
intense the storm, the greater the distance YHVH want to close between you
and Him, and you can be assured that He is doing a major work in your life in
these extreme situations. Like the example when Jacob faced Esau, so is
YHVH hidden in the tribulations that exist because of the sins of the past.
Q Is Balaam internal or external enemy?
Balaam is definitely an external enemy, but has the power to influence and
deceive YHVHs people so that the evil will cause this protective blessing to lift
and uncover them so that curses can come upon them. This enemy will study
you and see where he can get a foothold in your life so that YHVHs blessing
can lift so that you can move out under His protection and be exposed to the
curses that exist in this fallen state of His Creation.

6
Balaam, the Donkey, and the Angel
Balaam goes to YHVH a second time and asks
permission to go with the messengers of Balak to
curse Israel. YHVH gave him permission to go but
only speak the words He reveals to him. The next
morning Balaam got up, saddled his donkey and
went. This caused YHVHs anger to flare up against
him.
Q Do this sounds strange to you, he has permission to go, but now YHVH is
angry with him because he went?
Spiritual Insight: YHVH will sometimes give you permission to do
something, but He is not happy about it. It is like a test to see if you will still
go through with it if you think He is ok with it. YHVH was upset before him
coming the second time to ask permission to curse Israel. This teaches us
that YHVH allows us to exercise our own free wills and that He is not a
Puppet Master that controls every detail of your life. He still allows you to
make mistakes for you to learn from them and grow up, gaining wisdom as
you bump your head. This still upsets Him when that happens, and there will
be consequences. Be careful what you ask for, YHVH might just give it to
you.
Another reason YHVH could have been angry with Balaam is his eagerness to
go so that he can receive the reward Balak promised. His motive was self-
centered and not about seeking and doing YHVHs Will.
Q What is your motive for obeying YHVH?
The motive by which you do the right thing can make it wrong and cause that
good fruit to become evil. You cannot serve YHVH for your own gain, to
feather your own nest and live like a child of the King. You serve Him so that
He can change you to be formed into His Image and Character and secondly,
for the expansion of His Kingdom here on earth, bringing people into serving
Him because He is the King.
Personal Application: Everything you do, even if it is things
regarding your faith and YHVH, you should always stop and
check your motive why you do it. The highest form of
obedience is when you do something for YHVH with a
motive that sits outside of yourself. An example of this is
that you should not serve YHVH to be saved, but rather to
know Him and become one with Him, and secondly so that
others can see Him in you and learn to know Him as well.
Balaam rode on his she-donkey and had two men with him. There is another
place where someone rode on a she-donkey and had two servants with him.
Q Do you know who this is referring to?
It was Abraham, and by comparing Abraham with Balaam, will give us a lot of
insight and wisdom. The context of Abraham saddling the donkey early in the
morning was when YHVH called him to go and sacrifice Isaac unto Him.

7
Balaam Abraham
Balaam acted out of greed Abraham acted out of obedience
Went out to do something he was Went out to do something he did
keen to do, did his own will. not want to do, did YHVHs will.
Selfish motive Selfless motive
Would gain riches and not lose Would lose his most precious
anything. possession and promise, his son.
Friend of self, enemy of YHVH Friend of YHVH
The two different types of people depicted by Balaam and Abraham, give us
insight into the two different categories that exist in the Body of Messiah today.
Some are willing to give themselves, being selfless and obedient to YHVH, but
others use they're spiritual gifts and sell it to the highest bidder.
The key is to become selfless, humble and to love your fellow brother and sister
as yourself so that you will give your most precious possessions for their
benefit, just like Abraham did. Everything you do should be for the benefit of
others, not yourself; then you will start to become like YHVH.
When the Angel appeared, the donkey turned aside out of the way and went
into the field. Balaam struck the donkey to turn her back onto the road. Then the
Angel appeared again and stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, with a
wall on each side. The donkey saw the Angel and crushed Balaams foot
against the wall, and Balaam struck the donkey again. The Angel then stood in
a narrow place where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or the
left. When the donkey saw the Angel, she laid down under Balaam.
Q - Has YHVH brought restrictions in your life because you have been going on
a path that you should not be going?
Personal Application: The word for donkey is athone that comes from the
root word ethan ]tya that means strong, permanent, ever-flowing stream.
The donkey depicts your strong will or to follow your own will and the only
way to redirect or stop your will is for YHVH to send an Angel with a sword
or situations on your path to redirect you.
We will now look at the three areas the donkey, or rather your strong will, takes
you, and what each one of them represents.
The Field: Balaam was taken into the field by his
donkey or strong will. YHVH will direct you into the
field if you are as stubborn as Balaam. Field is the
word sade that means to spread out. It is first found
in Scripture in Gen 2:5 where YHVH spread out all
plants and herbs but they did not bear fruit because
YHVH has not sent the rain for there was no one to
till the ground. Everything and all the potential you
have will come to a standstill until you decide to till
the ground first, make the soil of your heart ready to receive before He sends
rain (blessings) in your life. The hardness of your heart and your strong will
needs to be broken up like ploughing hard soil to break the surface so that
YHVH can sow His seeds in your heart to let it grow and bear His fruit. You will
experience a time that seems that there is no blessing (rain), until you repent of
your strong will and hard hardness so that you will follow His ways.

8
Path of the Vineyard: Balaam still did not listen, and YHVH took him the
way of the vineyards, between two walls where his foot was crushed.
Vineyard is the word kehrem ,rk and is first found in Gen 9:20 where
it said that Noah planted a vineyard that resulted in him exposing his
nakedness (sin). YHVH will take you to a place where you will be
tempted by vine or worldly things, and that will reveal the sin that is
hiding within, or the motive that drives the sin that causes the stubbornness.
You will be confronted by the wall and your foot will be crushed. The foot is a
symbol of your walk or halechah, the way you conduct yourself and express
yourself in actions and words. There is a saying that says that if you squeeze an
orange, you get orange juice but if you squeeze a believer, the devil comes out.
All your impurities will surface during this phase, and you will see the hidden sin
or impure motives that will feature when you are under pressure being tested by
YHVH. These tests will not only expose your impurities, but also your faith so
that YHVH can change your walk, so to speak. This squeezing process will
result in joy when the wine is celebrated at the Marriage Feast with Messiah.
Narrow Place: Balaam still did not submit to YHVHs will and the donkey took
him to a very narrow place, a place where there is a pint of no
return, where you have to face what is on that path. Narrow
is the word tsar ro that means tight, distress, affliction,
trouble, enemy, affliction, and comes from the root word
tsarar that was first used in Scripture in Exo 12:33, the time
when Israel left Egypt after the last plague, when they took
their unleavened dough and their kneading bowls, bound it
with their clothes upon their shoulders, with the jewellery and
riches they received from the Egyptians, and left Egypt.
The donkey laid down under Balaam and this is the same symbolism where
your strong will breaks and just lay down. The breaking of the will means
repentance and is where you submit your will and pick up the unleavened
dough and kneading bowls and leave Egypt (sin and bondage). When you do
this, YHVH will bless you and provide (jewellery) for your next phase in your life,
following Him, and living in His House.

The Opposer
Num 22:32 And the Angel of YHVH said to him, Why have
you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come
out to stand against you, because your way is perverse before
Me.
The phrase stand against is the Hebrew word satan and is also
used in verse 22 where the Angel of YHVH stood in the way as an
adversary or satan against him. We have a picture of Satan as the
red devil with a pitchfork, but the spirit of adversity is the spirit that
opposes that makes satan a function and not a spiritual being.
Lucifer is known as Satan, the Opposer because of his function but
we see here that even an Angel of Light can resist you like Lucifer and people
think it is Satan, but is actually only YHVH opposing them through His Angel,
fulfilling the function of satan (resisting).

9
You might rebuke satan, thinking it is Lucifer, but you are rebuking YHVH.
Resistance or friction is needed to give grip to a wheel so that the car cam
move in a direction. YHVH will send friction and opposition in your life if you are
stagnant or if you are travelling in the wrong direction.
Spiritual Insight: Balaam could not curse Israel without permission, in fact,
no man, not even Lucifer can curse you, it is YHVH who curses man if they
are opposing Him and not follow His Commandments. Curses are the
consequences of walking contrary to YHVHs Will and Commandments. For
example, the Angel of YHVH opposed Balaam with permission, and Lucifer
had to get permission from YHVH to test Job. If you feel opposed or under
attack of the enemy, go to your Father and ask Him what you have done to
allow this consequence or opposing force to come into your life. Was it sin,
breaking a Commandment, was it following your own will, was it not acting in
faith but fear, was it because of a fleshly act or a selfish motive that caused
this pain to appear in your life? The other possibility might be because you
are travelling through the Wilderness and experience its harsh conditions as
an attack, but it just a phase you go through to let your flesh die, and your
spirit and faith grow and become strong. There are many reasons why we
experience opposition and suffering in our lives, and when the pain appears,
you should go to the Father and ask the right questions. Remember, when
times are tough, and you face calamities, that is the time when YHVH is the
closest because He is hiding within these tribulations.

Blessings and Curses

Num 22:34-35 And Balaam said to the Angel of YHVH, I have sinned,
for I did not know You stood in the way against me. Now therefore, if it
displeases You, I will turn back. 35 Then the Angel of YHVH said to
Balaam, Go with the men, but only the word that I speak to you, that you
shall speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
Balaam repented and agreed to only speak the words of YHVH. Balaam does
have the gift of prophecy where he gave four sets of beautiful prophetic
utterances, blessing Israel. Chapter 25 starts with curses that came upon Israel
because they mixed with the Moabites, taking on their customs, worshipping
their gods and engaged in sexual immorality. Isreal brought curses upon
themselves because of the advice Balaam gave Balak to let the daughters of
Moab mix with the sons of Israel to learn their ways, then YHVH will curse
Israel. We find the confirmation of this in Numbers 31.
Num 31:16 Look, these women caused the children of Israel, through the
counsel of Balaam, to trespass against YHVH in the incident of Peor, and
there was a plague among the congregation of YHVH.
Spiritual Application: Lucifers plan, right from the beginning, started in the
Garden of Eden, where he took YHVHs Word and changed it just a little bit
so that it will lose its power and become a curse to those who hear and do it.
This same technique is revealed in this Torah Portion where the false
prophet Balaam, added something to YHVHs Commandments to turn the
good fruit into evil fruit, turning YHVHs blessings into curses. He mixed in
the customs of a Pagan nation with the customs of YHVH found in His Word.

10
This is a warning to us today, make sure we only
digest the Word in its purest form so that we can
eat the good fruit that leads to life and steer away
from the traditions of man as well as practices of
Pagan nations. From this portion, we learn that
Balaam influenced Israels enemy, giving them
information on how to upset the God of Israel so
that He would curse them. This tactic of Balaam is
found later in Scripture and referred to as the way of Balaam, the error of
Balaam and the doctrine of Balaam.
The Way of Balaam: This is the inability to see YHVHs hand and a lack of the
full knowledge of the Truth. Balaam claimed to be a servant of YHVH but was
ignorant of the ways of YHVH and did not know that Israel was YHVHs people
making him spiritually blind, even if he is a prophet. Spiritual sight is not only
connected to prophecy but to the knowledge of the Truth as well.
2 Pet 2:1-3 , 14 - 15 But there were also false prophets among the
people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly
bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought
them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow
their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be
blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive
words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their
destruction does not slumber. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in
their own deceptions while they feast with you, 14 having eyes full of
adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They
have a heart trained in covetous practices and are accursed
children. 15 They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following
the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of
unrighteousness;
These people have forsaken the Way, which is the Truth of YHVH and followed
the way of Balaam instead. Doctrinal errors slip in, and people miss it because
they are focussed only on the prophetic words rather than the Truth and the
lack of the knowledge thereof. There are a lot of Prophets today who speak
YHVHs words and are spot on when it comes to prophesy, but they are like
Balaam, lacking the Truth found in YHVHs Torah, and some even preach
against it.
The Error of Balaam: This is when someone uses their spiritual they received
from YHVH to serve the Body and use it as a means to make money and get
wealthy. This is when a Church is run like a business. Whenever preachers ask
for money then you should be very cautious, YHVH will provide, and if people in
the community support the cause, there will be no need to advertise to get more
money that is required to support that Congregation within that community. The
error of Balaam is found as a warning to end time believers in the
Book of Jude.
Jude 1:10-11 But these speak evil of whatever they do not
know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in
these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they
have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of
Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

Paul gave the same message as Jude, warning against believers who use the
things of YHVH as a means to become wealthy.
1 Tim 6:3,5 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to
wholesome words, even the words of our Master Yshua the Messiah, and
to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 5 useless disputes of men of
corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is
a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself
How many Pastors of international ministries are millionaires, multi-millionaires
and even billionaires today? Religion is one of the largest and most profitable
organisations in the world today as billions of dollars are spent each year by
faithful followers. They might be like Balaam, speaking the words of God, but
have the wrong motive, seeking wealth.

The Doctrine of Balaam: This is when you indulge in sensuality and still uphold
spirituality, pursuing physical enjoyment and worldliness that can include sexual
immorality. They mix fleshiness with their faith, serving two masters.
Rev 2:13-14 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write 14 But I
have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold
the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling-block
before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to
commit sexual immorality.
People are compared to a house with many rooms; in one, you can serve
YHVH sincerely and in the other, behind a closed door, can serve the flesh,
indulging in immorality and sexual perversion. This is the paradox that exists
within human beings; being spiritual and sinful within the same body.
Personal Application: There might be areas or rooms in your life that you
havent submitted to YHVHs authority. You have to allow Him to enter those
rooms to help you clean it out so that all the areas of your life can be in line
with His Character. Be careful of hiding and protecting sin in your life. This
will cause an open door for the enemy, and he will have the right to come in
and destroy you with your own weaknesses, causing YHVHs curse to be
released over you.

The different areas in your life are like different frequencies, and we try to get in
sync and harmonise with YHVHs ways. You might get it right occasionally, but
then some area might become out of phase again and bring distortions in your
life that are experienced as pain.
Q - What makes this enemy so powerful today?
Your greatest enemy is the self, the big I that exists in pride and selfishness.
When your motives are not in line with the mission of becoming like YHVH, then
it will skew your outlook in life, and cause you to follow the flesh, even if you
think you follow YHVHs Will. These wrong, selfish motives will make you blind,
susceptible and gullible, becoming an easy target for deception. Guard your
heart and regularly check your motives to see if the spirit of Balaam is present
within you, or if you are riding on the donkey of your strong will, following it into
areas YHVH does not want you to go.
