EVENT OVERVIEW
Dear Partners,
The 18th Submarine Networks World was successfully staged at the Suntec
Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore, from 08 - 10
September 2015. Now seen as the unofficial AGM for the global submarine
telecommunications community, the 2015 event welcomed over 300 senior
representatives from 143 organisations convening from 42 countries the
highest attendance in 18 years, achieving an almost 20% year-on-year
growth in attendance.
Feedback from this years participants was very positive, with most
commending the growth in attendance, increasingly international
representation, calibre of the speakers and content discussed, and
unparalleled networking opportunities. With close to 60 world-class
speakers sharing expert advice and case studies on future networks
capabilities, new capacity demand drivers, financing and permitting
challenges, this years programme was highly relevant and interesting to
many industry leaders.
The 2015 event also saw the continuation of the Global Cable Projects
Showcase and interactive Project Developers Roundtables, where
attendees got up close and personal with the key stakeholders driving some
of the worlds biggest and most exciting cable projects.
Response to this years fringe activities was also outstanding. Both the
Masterclass on Operating and Maintaining an Efficient Cable Network
and Global Switch Data Centre site visit had great sign-ups leading up to
the event and proved to be a great learning experience for all who attended.

Terrapinn is committed to providing an effective platform for the industry and

strives to deliver excellence year on year. We will continue to work closely
with our advisory board and industry experts to create the definitive meeting
place for the world's subsea communications industry.
Thank you for your support. We hope you enjoyed this years event and look
forward to welcoming you to Singapore for Submarine Networks World 2016!
Warmest regards,
Submarine Networks World 2015 Organising Team

The Speaker Sessions, Global Cable Project Showcases and Project Developer
Roundtables helped us augment our vision towards the evolution and dynamics of
the industry. The program also enabled good networking opportunities and covered
the site visit to Global Switch Singapore. Thank you Submarine Networks World
2015 Event Team for organizing and managing a great event.
Shoaib Aslam Syal, Head of International Carriers Business, Multinet Pakistan
It was a good conference. One of the better ones that Ive attended. Lots of good
attendees and the sessions were better than in prior years. I really liked the longer
networking break in the morning of Day 1 as well. Very useful.
Alan Mauldin, Research Director, TeleGeography
It is informative and the conference is productive. Its a great opportunity to meet
subsea cables experts and decision makers.
Donald (Yijun) Tan, Executive Vice President, Global Network, China Telecom
Global
The conference provided a breadth of perspective and topics, with a nice blend of
papers, panels, and social time. It was the best SNW ever.
Elaine Stafford, Managing Partner, The David Ross Group
Good platform to meet key industry players, gain knowledge on technology and
trends, upkeep with latest operational issues and possibly meet some of potential
customers and partners.
Prakash Velayudhan, Operations Director, Telcotech Limited
This was my first SNW event and I found it very useful indeed. The presentations
were very current and informative and the networking opportunities well worth the
journey to Singapore.
Peter Fisk, Managing Director, Pelagian Limited
I found the conference quite informative which helped to have better
understanding of Submarine Networks around the world. It served as one-stopshop to get information about not only the current cable projects but also those
that are still on drawing board. The panel discussions provided comprehensive view
of people with full knowledge of the subject.
Robert Bolouri, Chief Executive Officer, Tonga Cable
Both the event and the content were very good. There were a lot of projects
presented and the Chairpersons for each day were superb.
John Hibbard, Chief Executive Officer, Hibbard Consulting
