Of course, the district court is free to entertain motions from the parties to
reconsider the sentence. Rule 35, F.R.Crim.P. If such a motion is made, that
Court may then consider United States v. Stephens, 449 F.2d 103 (9th Cir.,
1971); United States v. Caraballo, 334 F.Supp. 843 (S.D.N.Y. July 19, 1971),
aff'd without opinion (2d Cir. Oct. 7, 1971), and United States v. Fiotto, Dkt.
71-1651, currently pending in this court, concerning the effect of the repeal of
certain statutory provisions having to do with sentence.
