Final art reception of the season

The Wheatgrass Arts and Gallerys Artists of the

Month are Tess Fahlgren and Zac Garsjo.
Tess is a 2009 graduate of Glasgow High school.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative
Writing and a minor in Studio Art from the University
of Montana in 2016, Tess accepted the high school
art teacher position at Nashua High School. During
her term there, Tess was a regular contributor to the
Glasgow Courier. In addition, her work has appeared
in various publications around the state. Currently,
Tess is the teaching artist for 2016-17 Art Mobile of
Montana. She is grateful for this position as it presents
opportunities for her to meet artists from around the
state of Montana, to share her passion for art with
students, and to apply all the things she has learned
teaching art and apply them to her own. Her works
consist of paintings in watercolor, oil, pen and ink
illustrations and ceramic sculpture.
Zac is a Nashua graduate and has a BFA in
printmaking from MSU Bozeman. His focus is in relief
printing and intaglio (a style of print making on a
copper plate). Zac is the co-owner of the BS Buzz, the
daily rag in Glasgow, and an up-and-coming golf pro
at the Sunnyside Golf Course, where he will be trying
to break his first-ever 60 on nine holes of league play
tonight.

The Wheatgrass Arts and Gallery invites the public
to join Tess at and Zacher reception at the Gallery from
5:30-7:30 on Friday, August 5th. Appetizers and Busted
Knuckle Brews will be served. Free-will donations are
accepted to cover costs of reception.

Kade Strommen of Western Valley 4-H Club had to fly solo

with his 207-pound Light Weight Reserve champion hog as
the purchaser, Norm Sillerud of Hi-Line Ford, was a navigator for the Womens Walleye Tournament on Saturday. Rich
Kinsley did the bidding for Norm, who wanted to be at the
sale but couldnt be at both places at the same time. As for
Kade, Roubie Younkin had this to say: Im so happy Kade
made it to the winners circle. Hes such a great kid!

Rod Archambeault of Archs Tire & Service was the buyer of

Tatum Nyquists 320-pound Heavyweight Reserve Champion
Hog. Tatum is a Milk River Beavers 4-Her and raised one
beautiful porker. When asked what Rod is going to do with
his hog once processing is complete, he said, Well, Ill tell
you what, have you seen how big my family is? One good
barbecue in the back yard, and its a done deal! Maybe hell
be able to put the hams in the freezer for Christmas time.

Speak Now continued from front

The storyline: Secrets unleashed the night

before the wedding create chaos for the
devious Nella Kingsbury and her wedding party.
Powered by performances from a talented
ensemble of emerging actors, Speak Now is a
romantic dramedy about a group of high school
girlfriends reuniting for a wedding. Setting aside
their personal agendas to support the union
of Nella and David proves more difficult than
anticipated. As the Bachelorette party turns
sour, old offenses and newly mounting scandal
plunge the group back into a pool of high-school
drama.
