Conclusions
1. Theempiricalformulasobtainedmakeitpossibletocalculatethethroughheatingtimeforsolidandhollow
cylinders,regularprismswithanynumberoffaces,parallelepipeds,andsomesymmetricalpartsofcomplex
shapeinvariousmediaat7801300,andalsotodeterminethetotaltimenecessaryforheatingthemto
quenchingtemperaturewiththestructureofthesteeltakenintoaccount.
2. Thebasiccalculationscanbemadebymeansofthedatagiveninthetables,whichfacilitatethecalculations
andmakethemfairlyreliable.
3. Theresultsofthecalculationsmatchtheexistingexperimentaldataonthetimeforheatingtoquenching
temperatureoftotalsteelsensuringthehighmechanicalandcuttingpropertiesrequiredaftertempering.
4. Wedeterminedthegeneralprincipleofintroducingacorrectioninthecalculationsoftheheatingtimedueto
theinfluenceoftheoriginalmicrostructureofthesteelandchangeinthequenchingtemperatureand
requirementsfortheparts,especiallytheredhardness.
