Elite Grahacipta used red and white Baccarat 250th
anniversary crystal pieces to create a table setting for the

When Christmas is just around

the corner, red decorations began to
make frequent appearances all over
Jakarta, including this table setting
created by elite Grahaciptas shinta
Lauw. red dominates the setting,
complemented by white elements
and a few touches of gold.
Christmas is synonymous with
the colour red, says shinta, whose
concept revolves around red and
clear white crystal. Baccarat
has launched a new collection to
celebrate its 250th anniversary. the

collection exudes an exceptional glamour with a

colour scheme that matches a Christmas feeling.
thats why i decided to create a Christmas with
Baccarat table setting.
the result is an admirable table setting full
of crystal pieces, from champagne lutes, wine
glasses and vases to candlesticks, candelabra
and chandeliers. For this setting, shinta
collaborated with amalya hasibuan of eshcol
Gardening & Landscape, who lent her magic
touch to create the stunning lower arrangements
that take centre stage.
says amalya: i used babys breath because of
its neutral, simple colour. sometimes simplicity

is all you need to put a grand setting

into perfection. to match the
very precise detailing of all these
Baccarat crystals, we chose the
colour white so that the red colour
would stand out.
instead of using traditional vases,
the lowers are arranged inside
Baccarat mille nuits tall fruit bowls
in clear crystal, which evoke the
poetry of tales of the Orient with its
barely perceptible Venetian stripes.
above them is Baccarat Zenith clear
and red 18 lights long chandelier,
whose
ornamentations
are
magniied by Baccarats signature
suit of golden red crystal and clear
crystal octagon. its colours match
those of the four Baccarat Zenith
Diamant candelabra on the table,
which consist of a clear crystal
base and a multitude of red crystal
elements, and the apple candle
holders in red crystal from Daum,
which bring out a little playfulness
amid the grand setting.
to seal the royal deal, shinta
used the hritage scented candle,
created for Baccarats 250-year
anniversary, to go with the setting.
With candle lights glistening against
the shining crystal arrangement,
the setting is very formal and
high-end, perfect for a wine-pairing
dinner with French cuisine.
We added a touch of gold by
using gold plates from LObject
tableware collection to accentuate
the existing colour palette, says
shinta. We also used Christmas
gifts from Baccarat, wrapped
in red paper and white ribbons,
above each of the plates to provide
the guests with some treats and
excitement of the holiday season
before they move on to the feast.
shinta believes that every
successful table setting begins
with a concept that is well thought
out. every house has a diferent
interior and ambience, and thats
what you need to focus on for
starters, she advises. You need
to match the colour scheme with
both the room and the food you are
going to serve.
